ಠ_ಠ I knew I didn’t want him to have my number for a reason
A few months ago I (30F) went to my mom’s to do a garage sale. Also there was my aunt and uncle, as well as a man (maybe in his 50s) that is a friend of my uncle. He was selling a board game that sounded fun so I asked to buy it, and he gave it to me for free. I didn’t think anything of that, since he was selling it for $3 anyway.
Cut to him contacting my sister on Facebook to ask to pass his number along because he has another board game I would like. I was iffy because he was already kinda acting in the way that men will act when they want you to notice them and pay attention. I ignore the gut feeling and send a message asking about the game.
It’s been a while and there has been no mention of me getting this board game, but I sure am getting messages like these way too often.
EDIT: some spelling errors
EDIT#2: he has been blocked after the sonnet was sent because that was too insane to continue simply ignoring

My HOA could beat up your HOA Whole-house water filters after 6 months
To be clear, not asking for advice; we are getting the fuck out of this neighborhood. These were bleach white when I bought them.
Our ~50 home neighborhood has an HOA-managed pump house which draws water from an aquifer. The water turned brown after a very expensive backflush and purge the HOA did and has remained that way since.
That purge happened because the aquifer dropped down to about 0.5 gallons per hour replenishment for the whole neighborhood.
This of course was only after we nearly ran the president out of town when the neighborhood lost water for 2 weeks straight. While he was on vacation. And KNEW the buffer reservoir would run dry while he was out. AND had the funds to order a water truck to fill the reservoir.
Anyways; there are 3 distribution branches; our neighbor and us are the only two houses on the lowest (as in, elevation/gravity) branch. So we theorize that all the silt floats to the bottom at the pumphouse and gets sent to our sorry asses.
We have complained about this multiple times. The HOA refuses to install sediment filters at the pumphouse. So I installed these whole-house filters; this is after 6 months of very light service. It is just my wife and I, and we use low-flow heads on every fixture and have no leaks. For reference, these 20x4" filters are intended for full-sized single family homes, with a replacement interval of ~12 months for most homes. They are the size of my thigh.
I hope their very expensive pump shreds itself on the dirt and the president gets torched and pitchforked out of town. I am moving, fuck this place and fuck HOA-managed water distribution.
Edit: Water coming out of faucets and hose is diarrhea brown after pulling the filters and reconnecting the main inline. All y'all saying this is normal are funny.

Infuriatig I live with someone in an adult’s body who opens/stores food like this
Leaving aside the fact that this was my unopened box of cereal, they regularly open bags of chips by tearing the entire side off (so, the serrated top is used as a starting weak point to start a vertical tear all the way to the bottom). This person is 40+ years old and they seem to have zero concept of resealing food (or ability to taste when things go stale).

ಠ_ಠ Tesla parked in between no parking signs with a "we need critical thinking" bumper magnet. 🙄😒
They also have a magnet for the rainbow flag anti-elon Tesla club. And they left their dog in the car. I hate fascists.

Not a meme, you're the meme! Watching a concert through some guy’s iPhone…
Got a decent floor seat for a concert and a guy two rows up videoed almost the entire time. No effort to keep the camera below the sight line of people behind him, and it caused the person in front of me to block the rest of my view. Venue staff didn’t care. If you see this post, I hope you stub your toe on a table or something.

I'm slightly vexed Went to a store and I ended up being fairly embarrassed by a rude cashier.
I went to my local grocery store to pick up a few things and some alcohol for the weekend. The cashier asked for my ID. Being a few years over the age of forty, I was a little flattered. The cashier looked at my ID and said, "OH, I thought you would be older than that." I felt that punch in the bottom of my soul. That cashier did me dirty by wanting to look at my ID just to as how old I actually was.

I just wanted a hot dog Restaurant doesn't understand its own bathroom locks
This is so stupid, but it's bothering me, so I wanted to get it off my chest. I was just at a restaurant where the bathroom is a one-person situation, with a keypad lock on the outside. But, there's no way to lock the door from the inside; so, while you're doing your business, anyone with the code can just bust right in, and the restaurant gives the code to any customer who asks. The thing is, there are multiple signs in the bathroom saying, essentially, "don't worry about locking the door - it locks automatically," which is technically true, but doesn't change the fact that, when you're using the bathroom, there's no way to prevent someone from walking in on you. So, the signs make me think that, probably, multiple people have complained, but whoever's in charge just doesn't understand the problem, and so they put up signs like "silly customer, don't you see there's nothing to worry about?" But there is! There is something to worry about! Just so (mildly) frustrating...
