Fuck you I don't care what you've been through
This might sound harsh in some cases, but literally fuck your excuses. If you did me wrong, sure I am to hold you accountable no matter what mental state or past of yours. And if it hurts you more, so be it.

𝐑 𝐞 𝐯 𝐞 𝐥 𝐚 𝐭 𝐢 𝐨 𝐧 Thinking out loud about self-realization: You have to be your own strongest shield to protect your existence in every possible way.
In the past, whenever people tried to provoke me,
I would simply let it slide.
If someone asked an absurd or intrusive question,
I felt compelled to give a polite answer for the sake of courtesy.
I couldn't bring myself to refuse someone to their face;
let alone claiming what was rightfully mine,
I couldn't even bring myself to ask for it, held back by a sense of awkwardness.
Even when faced with sweeping, unpleasant remarks,
I wouldn't react.
This emboldened people,
and they kept coming back to provoke me.
They have the audacity to blow trifles out of proportion;
Committing wrongs themselves, they are the first to point fingers.
While biting back at a dog may not befit a human,
It is equally improper to pet and feed bread and biscuits
To a rabid, biting cur.
The saying that people respect the strong but trample the weak
Holds a great deal of truth.
If someone habitually oversteps their bounds,
Seizing them by the throat is exactly what they deserve.
Peace in life is maintained only when one deeply realizes—
that the fruit of an action corresponds to the action itself.

𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚 made my first app, a pomodoro timer where a little dog falls asleep while you focus
hey all, just shipped my first ever app and I'm kind of nervous posting it lol
it's called Puperino. basically I kept downloading pomodoro apps, using them for a week, then forgetting they existed. they all felt a bit cold and serious. so I made one with a little dog called Biscuit in it.
when you start a focus session he wanders over to his bed and curls up and naps. when you're done he sometimes brings you a little gift, which you can keep or trade for bones to buy stuff for his room. you can also dress him up, which I spent way too long on (he has a witch hat and a crown, it's very important)
not gonna lie, not wanting to wake him up has kept me focused better than any streak thing ever did 😅
it also does the usual stuff: the timer on your lock screen, tasks, stats, and a stay mode if you're like me and pick up your phone every 4 minutes
it's free. there's an optional pro with more rooms and stuff if you want to support me
would really love feedback, even if it's "this is buggy" or "this is pointless" haha. what would make you actually keep using a focus timer?

𝚅𝚎𝚗𝚝 / 𝚁𝚊𝚗𝚝 "Better a clear ‘no’ today than a broken trust tomorrow. Honesty upfront may sting for a moment, but false promises hurt for a lifetime."
Sometimes, it’s not the refusal that hurts — it’s the delay, the excuses, and the false hope. I once asked a long‑time friend to help test my app on Google Play Console. He gave me his email, but when the actual testing time came, he backed out.In app testing, there are strict requirements — even one person opting out can halt production. If he had said “no” upfront, I would have respected it and moved on. Instead, the late refusal broke trust. That’s why I believe: upfront truth is always kinder than delayed rejection.

𝐑 𝐞 𝐯 𝐞 𝐥 𝐚 𝐭 𝐢 𝐨 𝐧 Society doesn't give a fuck about you, so don't give a fuck about it.
Society is structured so that it disproportionately benefits the people at the top versus the bottom like billionaires and politicians. Society doesn't care about the homeless, drug addicted, or other groups. It's depressing, but it allows you to not give a fuck about society and doing your own thing.

𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 How do you stop getting worked up over dumb shit?
Honestly man. I don’t know what it is about me lately. But such trivial things have been getting on my nerves.
Like my neighbor has been running an air purifier downstairs. It’s a little close to his wall/door, and creating a bit of vibration/noise.
But it’s isn’t life-threatening man. It’s just a little noise. No louder than my fridge, or the cars going by. But I fixate on this shit.
“How dare that asshole not think about the science behind sound traveling through shared properties. That piece of shit. I can’t just get a moment to myself, without this fucking noise or something else.”
But more importantly, I don’t want to give a fuck about any of it. I just wanna live, and let life be whatever it is, then smile and perhaps even have some tacos.
I just find myself doing this with a lot of shit lately, and I don’t know why.

𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 I’m still struggling with my anger despite trying not to give a fuck.
I’m getting looked down on by my younger sister for having major depression, CPTSD, anxiety, and nervous breakdowns. Yeah, fine. Compared to her, I’m a failure. She’s successful. Great. I wish she could leave me alone.
I’ve been trying not to give a fuck about her opinions regarding me but my blood still boils and my blood pressure still skyrockets. I get so mad about what she said that it keeps me up and I feel the stress in my chest.
Clearly, I still give a fuck. I don’t know how to stop. I need to stop giving a fuck so I can finally improve my life but I can’t stop getting resentful and angry. I don’t know how to separate the anger from it all.

𝚅𝚎𝚗𝚝 / 𝚁𝚊𝚗𝚝 I’m turning 25 and realized most of my friends don’t care about me
As a friend I’d always go out of my way for my friends. I’d work 60 hour weeks, work 12 days in a row and still put in the time and effort to be there for them.
It’s my 25th birthday tomorrow and for the first time in years I asked my friends to do something for my birthday. I initially wanted to do a weekend trip but that didn’t work out. I later just asked for a simple dinner with two groups of friends.
I was supposed to meet with two friends on Saturday we made our plans weeks in advance. Now last minute one of them is cancelling because she wants to meet her boyfriends parents for the first time and they invited her for dinner. I immediately said no problem and asked for an alternative day, and got zero response. I’ve always been there for her, but I’m realizing she always takes 2 business days just to confirm on a plan that we already had, and honestly that wastes my time since I have no idea what to do. Any time we’d meet up in areas close to her, not once has she ever came close to my area.
My second friend I was supposed to meet with her tomorrow and she’s going through a lot in her personal life so I fully understand.
But both of them cancelling on me has honestly made this birthday hurt so much. Especially when I always put in the effort to be there for both of them.
I also cut off two friends earlier this year because I realized one of them was racist towards many ethnic groups, and the other one was making back handed racist comments about the ethnic group I’m from.
I’m now realizing I barely have any friends who truly care about me. Anyway I turn 25 in an hour. Happy birthday to me I guess

Is it really worth it?
I am a very blunt person. But im also very emotional. I dont understand why sometimes, but lately it feels like jts being used agaisnt me.
I like the place at work at. I have my own responsibilities, which help me feel independent. Until a very spoiled co-worker ruins the mood completely. And now im being blammed for how he is.
Said co-worker has a crush on me. Hes practically my shadow and it pisses me off. What makes it worse, is when im even the tiniest bit honest towars him, or i say 'no' to anything, he gets butt-hurt and throws a fit. Then he tends to go and do my job (I think k he also does this to avoid his own work) and that pisses me off anymore because he acts like hes helping, but I know hes not.
I try to ignore when he acts this way, but then I get told im 'egging him on' despite me literally doing nothing. Now my supervisors pissed and told me shes gonna 'lock us in the office' to talk things out.
Im supposed to be in a good mood! Its Friday. I have the weekend off. But now I cant stop thinking about it. Im about to move to a different account. But that wont make it better honestly.
How do yall handle stuff like this?

𝚅𝚎𝚗𝚝 / 𝚁𝚊𝚗𝚝 Learning to stop taking everything personally
I’m trying to get better at not taking everything personally. I’m learning to protect my peace, recognize microaggressions without letting them consume me, and remind myself that someone else’s rudeness or negative expressions don’t define my worth.
I’m trying to distance myself from toxic people and situations, learn to speak up for myself, and set boundaries without constantly worrying about coming across as rude or offending someone.
It sounds simple, but it’s incredibly difficult when you’ve spent so much of your life overthinking interactions, questioning yourself, and wondering whether you did something wrong.
I’m making small progress, bit by bit. Some days I handle things better; other days, a single interaction can still get to me more than I’d like.
I know this is going to be a long and challenging journey, but I’m trying to be patient with myself. I want to reach a point where I can stand up for myself without feeling guilty, let go of things that aren’t worth my energy, and stop allowing other people’s behavior to determine how I feel about myself.
Share your journey if you have been through something similliar.

How to not give af?
I heard about this mentality to not care so much about what other people say about you from my TA and it’s been at the back of my mind. I’m wondering if there’s anyone here who practices that and how can I start as well?

Artical You don’t have to figure out your whole life in high school. Write down what’s actually bothering you, what you want, and what you can control. Let the rest be background noise

How to not let negative people, or anger in others upset you or ruin your day?
I have struggled with this my whole life. I try to keep a positive outlook and enjoy life. It's hard to stay uplifted when people at work or home, vent their frustrations onto me. Especially when someone is yelling, or angry. Most of the time it has nothing to do with me, I am trying to learn about detachment, and not allowing myself to get so affected by someone elses moods, but after a discussion with my husband today who was not in the best of moods, I allowed his mood to affect my whole day. I have noticed this at work and other places too. Someone else gets upset, angry or complaining & negative and I start overthinking and cant get it out of my mind
How do you prevent or avoid letting others negativity put out your shine, so to speak?

Maybe someone else needs to hear this too
I found this randomly today, or maybe it found me, because I’m kind of going through the same thing right now.
“At some point, you will have to disappoint others to live a life that’s honest to you. People pleasing will drain you, not save you. You have every right to set boundaries and choose your peace. You can disappoint people and still be a good person.”
Honestly, I really needed this reminder today.
