- Flowara Mail Service — send invoices without configuring an SMTP server
- Partial payment registration with running balance

Promo Sunday ☔ Weatherling: Make it Rain and Snow on your Mac Desktop Windows
Hi all! I'm an indie dev working on a little app called Weatherling, which adds rain and snow to your Mac desktop.
I built this because I wanted to change the vibe while I work, so I started with a little rain. Then, it hit #8 on the Mac App Store for Utilities last week, and people asked for snow, so I added snow!
To keep the momentum going, I also added collectible little visitors called Lings. They come out to play in the weather, and if you enable Interactive mode, you can collect them in boxes. Rare Lings x Rare Boxes = Highest Combo Score. Share your score with friends to compete!
It's all very configurable. Adjust the rain and snow mix and intensity. Change the direction of the wind. You can even turn off the Lings if you only want to enjoy the weather. It's designed to be as visible or unobtrusive as you prefer. Make it your own.
It's completely sandboxed and on the Mac App Store. No extra permissions are required. No networked capabilities. No subscription. No in-app purchases. It all runs completely on your desktop.
I'm already working on the next version which should update later this week. People asked for falling leaves so leaves they shall have! 🍃 (I posted a sneak peek on my Twitter.) And more Lings coming too!
Check it out, and let me know what you think. All ideas welcome! Help me reclaim top 10. 🙏🏻

Promo Sunday Trovelo: a trip planner with no servers, no account, just your iCloud
Hey r/apple, solo developer here. It's Sunday, so I wanted to share something I've been building for the past months.
Trovelo is a trip planner for iPhone, iPad and Mac:
- MCP on Mac: Claude, Codex or any MCP client can build a full itinerary inside the app, running 100% locally and off by default.
- SwiftData + CloudKit: your trips live on your device and sync through your own private iCloud. No account, nothing uploaded to me.
- Foundation Models: type "dinner at Nobu 8pm ¥4000" and on-device AI turns it into a card with time, price and category. Works in 13 languages.
- MapKit: route optimization for each day and a map of every place you've been, built from your own photo library.
- WidgetKit and Live Activities: your next stop on the lock screen.
- Shared trips through CloudKit sharing, so you can plan with the people you travel with, still without my own servers.
- Universal Purchase, so one payment covers iPhone, iPad and Mac. Free tier with 3 trips, Pro is a one-time $9.99, currently $6.99 with code TROVELO699 (Settings → Redeem).

If you try it and have ideas, there's a small community at r/trovelo where users suggest and vote on what gets built next. Most of the recent features started there.

Promo Sunday My app lets you document everything you own and I need feature suggestions
I create ArchiveShelf, which is an app that lets you log and store things in it.
I initially built it to catalog everything I put into self-storage services, but some of my users have used it to document items for moving houses, collections, and just generally logging everything.
But I've ran out of feature ideas and want some ideas to put into version 2.0.
If you try it out, please suggest some features here, or via the Feedback button in the app!

iPhone Apple promised Texture & Grain controls for iPhone 16/17, then quietly made them 18 Pro only
When the iPhone 18 Pro was announced, Apple's Newsroom press release said the new Texture and Grain controls for Photographic Styles would come with iOS 27 to every iPhone supporting the latest generation of Photographic Styles. Per Apple's own user guide, that means the iPhone 16 and 17 lineups and the iPhone Air.
Less than two weeks later, the footnote was rewritten: the controls are now limited to photos captured on iPhone 18 Pro models and some iPhone Duo cameras. No announcement, no technical explanation. MacRumors, Macworld and The Verge covered it, and the original wording is still on the Wayback Machine.
What bothers me most: older iPhones on iOS 27 already show these controls when editing a photo shot on an 18 Pro. So the software clearly runs on them.
I'm about to buy an iPhone 17 pro, and this kind of quiet backtracking doesn't inspire confidence.
There is a precedent: in 2022, Stage Manager was M1-only until enough people complained, and Apple extended it to older iPad Pros. If you care about this, send feedback. It takes two minutes, and volume is what they look at.

Apple News+ AI-Generated Articles in Stocks App
I was just reading a suggested article in the Stocks app which pulled from the News app. It sounded weird so I scrolled back up to see that the entire article was AI-Generated with that being listed as the author. I was immediately annoyed and wanted to mark that as something to never recommend again.
When I went looking, there’s no way to remove AI-Generated articles from your feed in either app or their Settings pages.
I sent feedback within the Stocks app and filed feedback directly with Apple about it. I’m curious if anyone else has run into this scenario and has found a way to filter those out?

Apple Intelligence Why is the new Siri so slow and terrible?
For reference, I have a well-kept iPhone 16 Pro Max and a brand new Apple Watch series 11.(I got it last month I know there’s a S12)
No matter where I use Siri either on the iPhone or on Apple CarPlay or on the watch 50% of the time, at least it just stops listening without an answer, or simply does not work.
Raise to speak on my new series 11 has been absolutely awful compared to my series 7 and takes so long to respond and then just doesn’t do anything…
Im a computer engineering student with at least a basic knowledge of how technology works however, I cannot put together why the new siri is more awful in day-to-day tasks than it was before.
Apples main point is reliability. The best AI/Assistant is the one you can easily use… and Siri AI is below optimal. Do I need to get an iPhone 17-18 to utilize it properly?
Thanks for listening to my rant.
Edit: I own a Series 11 that was bought 20 days ago which at the time was brand new. I used to have a series 7 that worked flawlessly with raise to speak and Siri.
