$700-1000 (Open to anywhere in this range)
- Are you open to refurbs/used options?
Possibly, but I prefer being the first owner for tech (I realize this comes with a premium, but if the deal is good I'd take it)
15''-16'' (willing to go to 14'' or 17'')
5 Lbs. (willing to go heavier)
Gaming, Streaming, Discord, Workbench Laptop for Electronics (lots of Chrome Tabs)
Standard/Clamshell. I don't really care for a 2-1, Touchscreen, the "creative" stuff. If it's in the package I don't mind, but I wouldn't pay a premium for it.
I have a beefy desktop for the higher end of gaming, but I'd love a mobile options to bring to work or sit in the living room with for a couple games. I'd plan on playing MMOs, mainly WoW Forever + OSRS. I'd like to play WoW at High-Max Settings, OSRS through Runelite with HD/GPU Plugins which I know can get pretty CPU heavy, and probably as an option to bring Marvel Rivals over to a friends house for a LAN party. I play on Med-Low settings to maximize frame rates for Rivals, around or over 200FPS would be ideal.
I do a little bit of emulation, mainly N64/GC/PS2.
I need a laptop for my workbench, so a couple of chrome tabs I can flip between + discord as I usually stream my work to a couple friends.
As long as it isn't a 2 hour drain that's fine, I'm never away from a plug for longer than that. 4 Hours is fine, anything longer is just gravy.
- Please list, in order of most important to least important, the priority between Size, Weight, Performance, Battery life
Performance > Battery Life > Size > Weight
Refresh Rate - 120Hz Minimum but 144/165 would be nice.
Resolution - Fine with 1080p, open to 1440/2K/4K but not a necessity.
Screen - It'll probably get a Matte Screen protector applied immediately, so I'm open to OLED/HDR but I definitely won't get the best use case out of it.
CPU - No real preference on Intel/AMD, I know each has pros and cons. Whichever you guys feel would be best for my use case.
