Apple Intelligence Why is the new Siri so slow and terrible?
For reference, I have a well-kept iPhone 16 Pro Max and a brand new Apple Watch series 11.(I got it last month I know there’s a S12)
No matter where I use Siri either on the iPhone or on Apple CarPlay or on the watch 50% of the time, at least it just stops listening without an answer, or simply does not work.
Raise to speak on my new series 11 has been absolutely awful compared to my series 7 and takes so long to respond and then just doesn’t do anything…
Im a computer engineering student with at least a basic knowledge of how technology works however, I cannot put together why the new siri is more awful in day-to-day tasks than it was before.
Apples main point is reliability. The best AI/Assistant is the one you can easily use… and Siri AI is below optimal. Do I need to get an iPhone 17-18 to utilize it properly?
Thanks for listening to my rant.
Edit: I own a Series 11 that was bought 20 days ago which at the time was brand new. I used to have a series 7 that worked flawlessly with raise to speak and Siri.

I find the swipe down search functionality particularly slow, particularly in cases that used to lead to a web search. Siri’s been okay though
83
u/BroadIntroduction575 2d ago
This is a huge bummer for me as swiping down and typing is one of the primary ways I access less frequently used apps or go straight to a web search.
33
u/tragiccosmicaccident 2d ago
I kinda wish spotlight was separate from Siri because of that
1
u/JokerMother 1d ago
it still does spotlight functions though..?
11
u/Sherringdom 1d ago
Yes but because Siri is tied into it now the search is much slower
3
u/tr1cube 1d ago
You can turn Siri off of the search bar and it functions the same as it did pre-ios27.
2
u/TheCrossoverKing 1d ago
How?
3
u/tr1cube 1d ago edited 1d ago
You have to turn Siri completely off in the Siri settings, then turn it back on but only choose the Siri Classic, not Siri AI (Beta). This will also restore the rainbow border on the screen when you use Siri.
2
u/BroadIntroduction575 1d ago
So there’s no way to revert search bar functionality while still being able to use the new Siri in any other context?
2
u/tr1cube 1d ago
You can still use the new Siri app for most everything else, but yeah that’s correct. The new AI search in the camera won’t work without the Beta turned on either.

I hate how slow the process is. First it drags down the text field and then pops up the keyboard. It’s so slow, just have the keyboard show up and the same time, I don’t care about the aesthetics of this animation.
1
u/lostlandscapes 1d ago
Just curious but how do you go straight to web search from there? I don’t get that option when I type something in.
1
u/BroadIntroduction575 1d ago
It used to be the third button down, now you need to click once to get past Siri then scroll all the way to the bottom and there will be a "search in Safari" type button. So it's now a ~5-10 second minimum action with two clicks and a long scroll.
32
u/iambrentan 2d ago
She’s lost functionality! I used to ask “how far have I walked today?” and she’d provide me with the info. Now when I ask, she says “I don’t know. Check your health app.”

I have the same combo as you (16 Pro Max + AW S11 + AirPods Pro 3/Powerbeats Pro 2) and I've seen similar issues with Siri. Sometimes it takes forever to figure out what you asked and other times it just doesn't respond.

“Hey siri, play most recent podcast NPR News Now”
[plays random Taylor Swift album]
“Hey siri, text Kayla I’ll be there in 15”
[proceeds to create group chat with anyone who’s first or last name begins with K with the message “I’ll be there” and asks if I’m ready to send]
I try again, “Hey siri, text Kayla I’ll be there in 15”
[creates another group chat with two different Kayla’s (who spell their names differently and I haven’t spoken to in over a decade) and someone named Kay. Doesn’t ask me if I’m ready to send, just does it on its own and then decides to also send the first group too]
17
u/TallyWhoe 2d ago
Ha. I’m not the only one. Siri send a message to Adam.
Proceeds to create a FaceTime group link with everyone in my contacts who’s names begin with K or hard C.
Including people I haven’t communicated with in years.3
u/Success_Practical 1d ago
Told Siri on my watch to let my girlfriend know I’m heading home. Puts my girlfriend and another girl I hadn’t spoken to in 10 years (similar names, but not the same) into a groupchat and sends the message

new siri has an overreliance on LLMs which makes it way slower. if you turn off siri AI or lose it after an update (due to model redownloads), you'll find siri runs way faster since it's basically if-else statements.
i wish they'd do a hybrid approach with less LLM usage, because even things like setting alarms on my watch with my phone not nearby are becoming near impossible, even on a watch with on-device siri.
2
u/titaniumdoughnut 1d ago
what blows my mind (and did with old Siri too) is when the on-device model correctly transcribes a basic request like “what is 300/8” and displays that text instantly but then you still have to wait several seconds. Like an intern with a stack of paper and a week could write the hardcoded rules necessary to handle 99% of that kind of thing fully on device instantly and give a way better experience but they just… don’t care? Why is there a five second lag when I ask for the time in Mumbai? The clock app already knows!
1
u/No-Pea8448 5h ago
The LLM backend is because they ditched the internal team last year and contracted with Google for further development.
50
u/spacemanspiff66 2d ago
It’s so bad. Hey siri call this number. “Do you want to call from the phone app?”
Hey siri play this song, “now playing “current song playing””
7
u/not_right 2d ago
I swear asking to play a song worked better when siri didn't exist and it was called voice commands or something like that. The best I can get it to do is ask it to play the artist and then I'll skip through songs until I get the one I wanted to listen to.
2
u/spacemanspiff66 1d ago
Before iOS 27 it would work just fine even with Spotify. I could say “hey Siri - play this song/artist” no problems. Now, many problems
30
u/DevManTim 1d ago
- Buy 18 Pro
- Turn on Siri AI
- Try new Siri
- Endure worse Siri for 3 days
- Turn Siri AI off
I didn’t know Siri could get worse. I was wrong.
9
u/LivermoreP1 1d ago
Exactly. It was horrendous. It’s nice it can look for files or photos but then all of a sudden set a timer for 15 minutes turns into a whole ordeal.
7
u/piratepalooza 1d ago
This was my experience, only: I didn't even remember turning on Siri (Beta) even though I did. I was ready to throw the phone out the window. Once I realized that I could turn Siri off then turn it back on in Classic mode, things returned to normal state of Siri foolishness instead of the destructively awful new Siri ineptitude.
18
u/Csalted 2d ago
Are you referring to the Siri AI beta that you need to opt into? Because I've experienced similarly, I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max and everything about using Siri AI has been slower and less reliable. I'm holding off full judgement until they fully release it but my experience so far has been not great.

u/FlintHillsSky 2d ago
If you are on 27.0 and having stability problems, make sure to install 27.0.1. It is mainly security fixes but there seem to be a few bug fixes too from reports. It may also reset some of what may be a flaky installation on your phone.
i don’t think that the issues you are seeing are because you have a 16 Pro phone. It should be able to run the local AI just fine and most of the heavy lifting gets sent to PCC servers. This is more likely from a combination of a 1.0 Siri AI product that still has some wrinkles and it appears that some individual phones/computers get an install that is more unstable for some reason.
If you can wait for a few weeks, 27.2 Siri speeds up the initial response quite a bit and has eliminates some of the bugs like the frequent “did you mean A or B”. It is clear that there were still issues with the initial version and Apple has been working on fixes and speeds improvements for 27.2.
23
u/ghanadaur 1d ago
Siri is horrible. Gets answers wrong all the time. Fails to properly manage Home devices. I want to love Siri, but it is becoming ever so evident that Siri is leagues behind any other AI assistant and the gap is growing. Apple needs to get serious again about Siri.

u/Drawing_The_Line 2d ago
I don’t doubt anyone’s bad Siri experiences, I know it was utterly useless forever, but on my 18PM, it works flawlessly. And fast. Found me some files I was looking for instantly, sets timers instantly, answers my questions incredibly fast. The whole experience has been shocking.
So yeah, if it’s still not doing what you need or is super slow, I get why you’re upset. I’m just saying it’s working as advertised for me so far. Of course it could all change eventually.
6
u/roygbivasaur 1d ago
It’s still really slow for me on my 18 Pro. So is the terrible LLM spellcheck that sometimes makes typing lag for several seconds.
I also hate how Siri takes over the top 1/5 of the screen and makes the search bar unusable while it’s running.
2
u/TheEpicRedCape 7h ago
Holy shit my keyboards been lagging a lot lately and I don’t even think it might be Siri related. Turning it to old Siri seems to have fixed it.
9
u/UnifyTheVoid 2d ago
Seems to only work this well on the new phones.
8
u/19nineties 2d ago edited 1d ago
Still even on my wife’s 18PM, basic, non-AI, local Siri things seem to take longer than before because it seems to initiate a longer thinking process than it used to. Then replying too wordy makes it seem even longer than it needs to be.
One day I wish Siri would work like ChatGPT’s voice chat feature where there is such low latency so I can’t even tell I’m talking with an AI.
8
u/mobyte 2d ago
The Live models used for ChatGPT voice can sometimes serve up pretty wildly inaccurate information in the interest of giving you a response as soon as possible. It would be nice to have an option but Apple probably wasn’t expecting people to shit their pants over having to wait 10 seconds for a response.

u/SoldantTheCynic 2d ago
r/Siri is full of issues with Siri - most of which are inconsistent failures. It works okay-ish for me too, so long as I don’t ask for much… but it’s still got a long way to go and definitely has issues.
3
u/Serpula 1d ago
It works well on my iPhone 17 Pro Max too. I've been really impressed with it, Siri is genuinely useful now, which is not a sentence I thought I'd ever say.
Only problem is when I'm at home, Moron Siri on the HomePod keeps chipping in to tell me it "can show me if I ask again on my iPhone." Hopefully the day will come soon when I can take it out the back and put it out of its misery.

u/disguy2k 1d ago
Somehow they made Siri so much worse. I've been using Siri to start random timers while cooking for years. Now it tells me it can't do it on the watch because the clock app isn't installed. Clock app on my watch. Wtf.
5
u/ayyitzTwocatZ 1d ago
Can’t play my favourites or top rated songs and it’s killing me. It’ll play a random song with favourite in the title or a random song with top rated in the title. 😔

u/Cruncher_Block 1d ago
Yes. Yesterday instead of playing my Favorites playlist, it played “My Favorite Things” by Weezer.

u/WeWantLADDER49sequel 1d ago
I just dont use it. And completely shutting Siri off saves battery, just like turning off all of the translucent bubble graphic bullshit. Apple software has been hurtling towards Microsoft levels of bugginess and usability the last few years.
5
u/allureofgravity 1d ago
For me it’s slow AF in my car. CarPlay is a mess to use now. It used to be quick and easy to send/receive messages, now sometimes it doesn’t even work. Just loading and loading. I really hope they fix it.
4
u/hampa9 1d ago
I have a 17 Pro and a Series 9. I’ve turned all the new Siri shit off it’s so slow.
My life is boring and I don’t need an intelligent assistant to help me with things. I just want to set timers on my watch. The timer interface is so bad in the app itself I always just used voice and they’ve even managed to screw that up.

u/toromio 1d ago
My biggest annoyance is that it no longer answers questions about fitness app summaries (yes, all possible permissions are allowed) “How many miles have I walked this year?” used to sum my walking, running and hiking miles. Now she says “you can see these results in the fitness app”
3
u/MediaMoguls 1d ago
Serious answer: “Siri AI” basically adds an LLM-layer on top of the basic Siri functionality.
Instead of “set a timer for 10 minutes” being essentially a direct command → system action, the newer Siri has to interpret the request and route it through the AI/system-orchestration layer before invoking the actual action.
The LLM makes it capable of much more complicated requests, but it also adds more latency and more failure modes for things that old Siri could handle almost instantly and reliably.
3
u/HalliganHooligan 1d ago
Its been terrible across all my devices ranging from M2-M4 and my 17PM, rather disappointing.
3
u/icarus2847 1d ago
It’s surprising to me how horrible Siri has been since it started. It has barely made any progress. I generally don’t know what the hell Apple is doing.
3
u/Gliese351c 1d ago
I came here to complain about the new Siri too! On the new Apple watch, it is horrible. It can’t understand whether a request is finalized or not. Sometimes, it can’t understand what I am saying. On iPhone, it’s better but still there is a lag and it still has difficulties with accent.
3
u/Poopoodemons 17h ago
they fired their software qa teams and outsourced it all to the cheapest vendor

u/redditor0xd 6h ago

Hot take: all AI assistants are shite.
4
u/williamwzl 1d ago
I’ve been having a blast with Muse, but I understand the amount of brute force cloud compute and privacy issues driving it’s performance. I’m excited to see what Apple can do when these openclaw style agents are efficient enough to run locally.
7
u/TheRealFrantik 2d ago
The problem is: all these AI assistants are simply unstable: one day they're moderately helpful, one day they give completely inaccurate answers, one day they simply aren't in the mood to help, then the next day, they work excellent almost like they're making up for being a jerk the day before.
We want an assistant, not a smart moody teenager
7
u/Astartes2435 2d ago
In my experience on device request are super fast. It’s when it has to hand off to the cloud that it lags a little or fails to work.
7
u/H_J_Moody 2d ago
I already disabled her. Doing so gives back the old rainbow border too and she’s back to her usual fast self. I don’t need AI in Siri. I just need her to do simple things like set reminders and timers.
→ More replies (1)6
u/aemfbm 2d ago
Oh! I think the rainbow border is so much better, it's so much easier to see at a glance, from distance, or in peripheral vision, and it never blocks content, which the black bubble thing often does.
I haven't been impressed with new siri performance, but the idea of getting the rainbow back I think tips me over the edge. Off now to go turn off new siri.
4
u/H_J_Moody 2d ago
It took me a minute to figure out how to do it. You would think it would just be under settings > Siri, but it’s not.
Go to settings > screen time > content and privacy restrictions > Siri. Under “allowed Siri version” just pick Siri classic.
3
u/aemfbm 2d ago
Oh, my google search ai result said to just deactivate siri, then activate again and it would ask classic or beta. That's exactly what happened, I'm happy to be back with the rainbow!

I did it the way you mentioned & also did it the way the person you replied to did. Is there anywhere else in settings we need to turn on classic siri?
2
u/WeatherFit2186 1d ago
Is there anywhere else in Settings where we can turn Classic Siri back on? I also went to Settings > Siri, turned Siri off, and deleted it. When I turned it off, it asked at the bottom if I wanted Classic Siri, so I chose that. Thanks for sharing the spot where you found it, too!

5
u/ThatsRightSirFLOSS 2d ago
Using Siri AI was absolutely miserable for me, and I have the 18 Pro and Series 12. It frequently took forever to process requests, misunderstood what I was asking, just gave responses that were flat wrong. I went back to classic Siri. I hope they improve Siri AI because classic Siri also sucks, but at least it can set a timer or send a text.
2
u/tanmay007 2d ago
I think Apple made the wrong decision with a hybrid approach. Siri relies quite a bit on on-device models and for the most part, it works well. But you really need at least 9/10 reliability otherwise it messes up user experience and that’s what we’re seeing.
The other major handicap is Apple has severely limited app domains i.e. the categories of apps that can share their data with Siri is very limited.
2
u/GoodFroge 2d ago
I used to be able to just tell the watch to play one of the playlists on music, which took maybe 3 or 4 seconds, but now its half a minute minimum where it just spins and finally decides to do it. It’s faster to just grab my phone, open the app and do it myself.
I’d honestly prefer if they’d just kept the watch version as the simple version, as I’ve no doubt it sending it off to my phone and then I to the cloud is slowing it way down for something simple.
2
u/rorowhat 2d ago
Try Gemini from Google, it's 10x better

u/ChairmanLaParka 2d ago
On iOS 26, I used to be able to say "Turn on all my work alarms." before bed, and it would do it. Now, I either have to say "Enable all my work alarms" as "Turn on" no longer registers, or I have to just manually enable them. Similarly with turning them off in the morning.
Either way, when I say that, the prompt never just goes away. I have to swipe up on it. Which for some reason isn't very easy to do.
I generally like new Siri, but this is maddening.
2
u/Greenscreener 2d ago
I originally thought that maybe Apple had played their cards right and not jumped on the AI bandwagon and could come in later with a better more nuanced product…
I was wrong…

u/catsandwhisky 1d ago
I have an iPhone 17 Pro. I’ve found Siri AI very slow for simple tasks that are performed on-device. Controlling HomeKit devices, setting timers or reminders etc. I just switched back to classic Siri and it’s back to being quick for those tasks.
2
u/codykonior 1d ago
Everything Apple says about AI is hilarious given how terrible Siri still is on an iPhone 18 Pro Max.
Can’t tell you the smallest thing without constantly unlocking your phone and granting location permission. But she can’t unlock your phone for you.
2
u/NPalumbo89 1d ago
I’ve found her responses to voice requests are slow and then the amount of time it takes to send a voice text is even slower. 17PM
2
u/Helpful_Ability456 1d ago
I recently switched from an Oppo find X9 pro to an iPhone 17. While I love the overall feel of the 17, Siri sucks. And that’s an understatement.
I never had issues with my voice assistant on the oppo. I could make calls, add to dos on the right list, group messaging, finding stuff and information online. It basically did almost everything I asked.
Siri either cant do it or gets it wrong 90% of the time.
2
u/m2wm2wm2w 1d ago
I just switched back to old Siri. At least I can set timers reliably again, and control my lights.
I have no idea what this new Siri is supposed to actually do well.
2
u/matty2109 1d ago
I work in a warehouse with spotty reception…Siri used to be able to do basic calculations. I asked it what is 15x19 and bang it would answer. Now it says it needs to be online. Like what? The calculator needs to be online?
2
u/trmiv34 1d ago
This has been exactly my experience with it on my 16 Pro Max and Ultra 4.
So many times it pops up and then just disappears while I’m speaking. That happens most frequently on the watch. Sometimes when this happens on the watch it’s because she responds on my phone that’s in my damn pocket.
When she does work she’s just so slow for basic tasks like turning off my Apple TV, or adding reminders or starting timers. These basic things were almost instant on old Siri, now she has to think about it for 20 seconds first.
2
u/mrjohnhung 1d ago
It’s “refinement”. They refined it to a point where you should use other assistants instead of giving Siri a try
2
u/ddeese 1d ago
It’s atrocious. It’s great if you want to open the Siri app and talk to it like a bot. But ask it to add an item to your grocery list; maybe or maybe not. Maybe, but only if you unlock your iPhone first. It’s already set to work with the iPhone locked. Don’t worry, that feature will work again when it decides to (at random). Need it to turn on the lights or send a message while you’re driving. Maybe it will or maybe it won’t. We have to wait for the circles to spin round and round forever first. I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max, series 9 Apple Watch and recent iPad mini. New Siri is poor on all of these. I will be reverting to previous generation.
2
u/Mother_Restaurant188 1d ago
I also noticed the Photos app no longer recognizes laundry labels or is just so slow that it doesn’t load at all on my phone.
Before it used to just take a couple of seconds to recognize the labels and “translate” the symbols.
2
u/ArchonTheta 1d ago
I have the 17 pro max, watch series 12. I noticed especially on the watch it’s bloody slow. The phone isn’t too bad but could use some tweaks. Hopefully future updates can make it a little more ballsy.

u/Status-Put-8630 1d ago
Because Apple's developers are a bunch of dim-wits. That's why there are so many issues with iPhone 18 Pro Max service outages. Tim Cook should've been FRIED about how he let the good talent leave and the idiots replace them.
2
u/sloopeyyy 1d ago
My SO’s 18PM seems to respond fast but not instant, compared to our 16PM. I think its quick enough now but we still encounter the occassional dumb Siri moments and/or empty responses etc. Ironically Google’s Gemini or Google Assistant was better than Siri but has gotten worse to the current state of Siri in my opinion. None of these AI assistants are being consistent these days.
2
u/No-Pea8448 5h ago
The real irony is that they ditched their internal AI team in favor of a partnership with Google to have Gemini drive Siri. Hasn't been released yet, but the companies are so busy figuring out how to monetize AI that they've forgotten that we've actually used Siri for almost 20 years. Borking it is stupid.
4
u/HIGHER_FRAMES 2d ago
The new Siri has been great on the newest phones (17.18 pros)
It’s quick and responsive. The issues I see:
while I’m talking, it just stops.
On device is quick - retrieval from a sever is a different story..
Sometimes the info is still just plain wrong
4
u/MattSenter 2d ago
siri is so bad. always has been. IMO they need to gut it and start over, maybe even rename it after. FWIW Ternus did lay off a bunch of the Siri team as he came in. I'm hoping that means he is gonna rebuild/replace with fresh talent.
3
u/ACalz 2d ago
It was re-gutted, and IMO they have the right architecture.
This is going to take time to resolve itself. Microsoft took a couple of years to get enterprise copilot to a decent place.
7
u/yourmomhatesyoualot 2d ago
Copilot is just as stupid as Siri is. Every time I try using it I can't believe this is something they charge money for.
3
u/Lambdabam 2d ago
I have the base iPhone 17. I tried the Siri beta and I agree that it’s slow. It takes longer to send a text via Siri in Carplay. I’ve reverted back to the ‘classic Siri’ this morning.
4
u/GillyBerlin 2d ago
I have the iPhone 18 Pro and the same problems. I set a lot of reminders and Siri often stops mid sentence. The dictation feature also became quite useless to me, as it does the same frequently.

you missed the forest for the trees though.
You assumed everyone is having issues with the new Siri. They're not. And if you don't understand how it's possible some may and some may not, you really don't have as extensive a knowledge of how technology works as you think you do.

I'm not saying this is exclusive to this field, but as a professional software engineer, I know to completely disregard the "qualification" that someone either does this for a living or went to school for it or is going to school for it. Either you have relevant experience and training in the niche field or discipline we're currently talking about, or I literally couldn't care less. Being a CE student doesn't magically grant you insight into Siri AI systems architecture, any more than it means you are qualified to fix your mom's broken printer. The scope of computing is wildly diverse and if anything it just shows how much you don't know to say that going to school for a somewhat-related topic makes you an expert in all things that involve a computer.

I have never had raise to speak work reliably so maybe it’s just random variance idk.
I had a 15 pro and yes the new Siri was slow to respond and pretty annoying to use. My new 18 pro is much better. Not really having issues with it.
But if they didn’t launch it on 15/16 series there would have been hell to pay because of all the false promises. So here we are.

After watching this for several days, I’m beginning to wonder if it isn’t the devices at all but Siri AI using a non deterministic method to determine when to hand something off and when to process it locally…… I would be extremely interested to see how some of the slow phones process inquiries compared to some of the fast ones

I personally do not use hey siri to activate it. I use swipe down or long press the power button and avoid annoying Siri call ups. I do find Siri AI to be quicker and more reliable on the 18 pro over the 17 pro. I personally do not rely on AI much anyway as I have yet to find a way that it improves my daily life.

So it’s not just me? I’ve been having similar issues, Siri stopped reading aloud my messages and notifications to me and when I hold the power button my phone just freezes and nothing happens🤷🏻. I have 17 pro btw.

Apple partnered with Google for its AI architecture and then post trained a model that was already an absolute POS.

I have 18 pro and siri is terrible and utterly useless. At this point, I think they should let muse or dots handle the siri stuff while retaining the siri wrapper

Siri is terrific and faster than asking a random stranger. What are you asking her to do?

Apple was ahead of the curve with Siri back in the day but it’s really been a letdown overall, and yes, somehow worse over time.

Is it true that Siri AI is still in beta?
That's the only thing I can think and I sure hope it gets better.
Even sending an iMessge when I'm hiking with my Watch Ultra is just...awful.

My theory is they felt compelled to support the iPhone 16 series with the new Siri because they jumped the gun on marketing Apple Intelligence when that phone launched. I went from a 16 to an 18 Pro and the performance is night and day, it feels like the 18 Pro is probably the real performance floor to be able to support those features properly.

You would think that a company like Apple could’ve made a realistic Jarvis AI commercially viable… a decade ago. But no. Instead we have Siri 2.0 :/

I turned it off and went back to the colorful border Siri. The new Siri AI is not quite up to Gemini's (What I used the last month I was on Android before I switched back to Apple) level.

Runs just fine on my 17 Pro. It is a bit slow when I use it via my Watch Ultra 2 though

It’s a software issue. I just got an 18PM and S12 and they both perform very similarly to the 13PM and S9 I compared them to before I traded them in. All we can do is wait for updates or use the old version of Siri for now.

I don’t understand how a company like apple can be so far behind on the AI front. Siri lacks any intelligence at all. It’s complete dogshit

I absolutely see no difference with it on my 17 pro max running iOS 27. It sucks as always

17 Pro Max and Siri works pretty flawlessly. I’ve actually been surprised with how capable it is. Though I will say one annoyance is the Siri bubble often persists after she’s finished providing a response and I have to swipe it away. Also experience more accidental triggers than I used to.

I have the same issues with a series 11 and iPhone 17 pro. “Start a timer for 5 minutes…”… spins indefinitely..
