When I asked her about it, she refused to move and just said “the hose extends.” Had to back in crooked and squeeze next to her just to get it to reach my back tire.

Bought these fancy linen sheets from Quince a year ago and they’ve completely shredded. I sleep alone and don’t move around a lot in my sleep (or in my awake lol) and they’ve completely started shredding with these big holes all over. Was one of my first luxury purchases after getting a real job and it’s just so disappointing. I see what people mean now when they say that Quince is just expensive fast fashion.

So I'm at the self checkout. I go to one next to an older lady and her spawn probably
A bit later lady with crutches comes to my left.
🧑🦱 🩼 ◾ ME ◾ 🙍♀️ 🧒
Kid says "she can't walk! Why can't she walk?"
"because she did something silly. Like jump off a roof. We don't do stupid things. They are silly." There was more than that ya know. Old woman repeating self etc.
Only later I noticed who had come to use the checkout next to me and it really hit me.
Is that a thing now? Do we just shit talk strangers from right next to them now? And victim blame people who are hurt? Lady is in crutches in a busy store and this fuckass old woman's thoughts as 'you make bad desicions' and she's telling a kid that.

Leaving aside the fact that this was my unopened box of cereal, they regularly open bags of chips by tearing the entire side off (so, the serrated top is used as a starting weak point to start a vertical tear all the way to the bottom). This person is 40+ years old and they seem to have zero concept of resealing food (or ability to taste when things go stale).

and there’s little to no water pressure to make it even worse

We moved over the weekend. There is an alcove over the stairs. They removed ONE item and left the rest. You need an extension ladder to reach it. Why not pull it all down?

To be clear, not asking for advice; we are getting the fuck out of this neighborhood. These were bleach white when I bought them.
Our ~50 home neighborhood has an HOA-managed pump house which draws water from an aquifer. The water turned brown after a very expensive backflush and purge the HOA did and has remained that way since.
That purge happened because the aquifer dropped down to about 0.5 gallons per hour replenishment for the whole neighborhood.
This of course was only after we nearly ran the president out of town when the neighborhood lost water for 2 weeks straight. While he was on vacation. And KNEW the buffer reservoir would run dry while he was out. AND had the funds to order a water truck to fill the reservoir.
Anyways; there are 3 distribution branches; our neighbor and us are the only two houses on the lowest (as in, elevation/gravity) branch. So we theorize that all the silt floats to the bottom at the pumphouse and gets sent to our sorry asses.
We have complained about this multiple times. The HOA refuses to install sediment filters at the pumphouse. So I installed these whole-house filters; this is after 6 months of very light service. It is just my wife and I, and we use low-flow heads on every fixture and have no leaks. For reference, these 20x4" filters are intended for full-sized single family homes, with a replacement interval of ~12 months for most homes. They are the size of my thigh.
I hope their very expensive pump shreds itself on the dirt and the president gets torched and pitchforked out of town. I am moving, fuck this place and fuck HOA-managed water distribution.
Edit: Water coming out of faucets and hose is diarrhea brown after pulling the filters and reconnecting the main inline. All y'all saying this is normal are funny.

This is so stupid, but it's bothering me, so I wanted to get it off my chest. I was just at a restaurant where the bathroom is a one-person situation, with a keypad lock on the outside. But, there's no way to lock the door from the inside; so, while you're doing your business, anyone with the code can just bust right in, and the restaurant gives the code to any customer who asks. The thing is, there are multiple signs in the bathroom saying, essentially, "don't worry about locking the door - it locks automatically," which is technically true, but doesn't change the fact that, when you're using the bathroom, there's no way to prevent someone from walking in on you. So, the signs make me think that, probably, multiple people have complained, but whoever's in charge just doesn't understand the problem, and so they put up signs like "silly customer, don't you see there's nothing to worry about?" But there is! There is something to worry about! Just so (mildly) frustrating...

edit: it's free at the fast food restaurant in person, this is uber eats listing it as a menu option. keep in mind there is a separate "include utensils?" for free in the checkout part.
