Hi everyone, I have a complete, original story that I genuinely believe has great potential as an anime series. However, I am starting completely from scratch—I have 0% knowledge about animation, production, or how the industry works. Since I don't know the first thing about creating an anime, I am looking for guidance from experienced creators. I would appreciate your advice on: First Steps: What is the very first thing a writer with no animation background should do? Formats: Should I focus on turning my story into a script, a light novel, or a manga first? Collaboration: How do creators typically pitch their ideas or find artists/animators to team up with? Any resources, roadmaps, or honest advice for an absolute beginner would be incredibly helpful. Thank you!

My daughter is finishing high school and wants to go into animation.

1. How is AI impacting jobs?

3. Is it worth getting a degree in animation?
   
4. If so, are there some schools that are better than others? (SCAD, UCLA, San Jose? others?)
   
5. Any other general feedback or thoughts on picking schools or making the next steps.

A while ago, I tried to combine the Bonnie abomination from graveyard shift at Freddy's, with the anime Bonnie from five nights in anime reborn.

Since my last Halloween short got screwed by YT's video compression, I figured I'd give it another shot and try to re-create the window jump scare from GSAF. I think I succeeded well enough to quote Steve Buscemi's spykids character about fearing your creation lol

I'm currently in my 5th week of my final year of my animation program and I have no clue what I want to do for my thesis film. Ive gone through 3 different story ideas that I eventually dropped because of they were either getting too long or the story wasnt satisfying enough for me.

Im starting to think that im never going to be satisfied with any of my ideas so im doing what any sane person would,,, begging on reddit lol

Idk if im allowed to ask for ideas here but if I am, I do want to let you know of my limitations:

1. It has to be short. Less than 2 minutes is ideal.
   
2. It has to be simple enough for one person to accomplish. Complicated animation is welcome as long as the overall workload is realistic for one person.
   
3. Animation over Visdev. Im a great animator :) not so much a great bg artist.

If anyone has any cool ideas their willing to throw at me then feel free! If i end up going with one of your ideas (or using it as a base for a different idea) then i'd love to give you some special thanks in my credits!

P.S. I dont have any genre preference so go wild. My one personality trait is that i love my country Toronto so Id love to include it in my film but its not necessary.
