Leatherman Charge TTI $99.98 for Amazon Prime Day!
Probably won’t last long at this price. Also comes with a sheath, partial bit kit and pocket clip. Get it while you can. S30V blade steel too.

The new addition to my EDC family. I’m really impressed with its performance for the price. The strong scissors and useful blade are my favorite tools. It’s a bit on the heavy side, but it feels solid, sturdy, and reassuringly secure.

Normally, I pocket carry a Spirit X and either an Arc or Surge in a kit on the belt.
Made a spontaneous call to try out the SOG powerassist yesterday and I've got to say l am really happy with it.
I have weird feelings about SOG. Some of their ideas are so clutch but they really miss the mark in some other, so obvious ways. I've really been impressed by the pros on this one thus far, however.
I've only used it for a couple of days but so far here are so pros and cons I've found to Leatherman/swisstool
Pros:
YOU CAN GET ALL TOOLS WITH GLOVES ONE HANDED. I previously attributed this only to a free tool/Arc or free clone, but this one is just as easy
-strength of the pliers is incredible and the teeth lock perfectly. Much better for grabbing onto thin material than LT or VIC
-pliers close more fully allowing easier grip for my little hands, and are quite comfortable
-drivers drivers drivers. I used drivers more often than most things on a multitool and the plethora of options this thing provides is awesome. I love having the 1/4" adapter to open up a world of socket options
-the little angle finder in the top of the handles is actually a really handy idea
-the precision tip on the pliers is smaller than any of my others
-assisted opening in outboard tools is awesome. Sometimes it doesn’t work quite as well as I like however.
Cons:
-pliers don’t open nearly as wide due to the design, but honestly I shouldn’t really be grabbing anything that wide with needle nose anyway. That’s what the cobras/pipevise stubby are for
-no scissors. That’s a rough one but all my other tools have them so it’s kind of moot, and honestly the rope cutter is a fantastic zip tie tool
-the biggest flaw for me though is no good pry bar. That’s one of my most used tools on any multitool, however my pocket Spirit has that covered better than any other tool as it’s thicker and wider than any other model
-why would a saw have a thumb stud? That’s just dumb and it’s pretty short to be effective but I haven’t tried it yet
-it can fall open pretty easily with gravity, but I sheath carry and it hasn’t been an issue. If anything it’s been more helpful for one handed opening and closing.
As I continue to use it I’ll get more of a feel for overall endurance and quality, but this thing is pretty awesome for the price thus far

Has ANYONE who daily carried the surge for more than 3 months gone to an arc and felt it did the trick?
Everyone says it just feels like a toy after you edc the surge. That was my experience with the P2 as well.

A little overview of my different forks/spoons that I use depending on the day.
A small list of these models;
- a custom model (titanium blue) of a French fry fork with bottle opener, bought at Tools for Gent;
- a compact model from Boker, just remember to have plenty of time if you want to eat a soup with its very small spoon;
- An almost perfect spork from prometheus design werx;
- a copy/clone from AliExpress with a touch of Timascus
- a folding fork from boker +
A small photo with a corner to give an idea of the scale size

The NexTool CP10 listing on Amazon got taken down and relisted a month or two ago. I didn't notice anything then, but it seems to have changed in terms of claimed bladesteel. It says 8cr13MoV (in a drop point shape, but this is clearly not the actual shape of the blade seen in pictures), but the official NexTool website says it's 5cr15MoV, so does the pictures on the Amazon listings. It also says a "phillips screwdriver", even though there's only a flathead. Anyone have any info on this? Maybe it's a silent revision?

I just wondered what folks thought of this ARC clone, particularly the white variety, which reminds me of the LM 005 Garage, minus the Cerro Kote and Magnacut. I like the idea of having a "Beater ARC," which I don't have to even think about keeping nice, and wouldn't be unwilling to lend out, if asked.
I haven't been able to fund out anything about this BHBT 20-in-1 Multitool Pliers Folding EDC, in terms of metallurgy, or even whether or not the white finish is cerrrokote, powder coat or paint.
Thanks in advance.

Cheap, but has the quality. Not a pain in the @ss if lost or stolen cause it's cheap. Has all my needs from pliers, shears, knife, saw, too many to mention lol.

Really my only requirements are
1. Under 4ish inches
2. Good durability/reliability
3.Must have a knife and screwdriver
4. Ideally has pliers but isn’t a deal breaker but still VERY preferred.
5. Under $200
Thank you in advance for recommendations.

So I have this (pics attached) it’s super bulky and heavy. Works great. I’m torn between a Leatherman or a Victorinox. I’ve heard better things about Victorinox. I think I’d only need the Leatherman wingman or skeletool cx
Wanting some options on what to save for

Anyone have leads on a belt pouch/sheath that will fit a swiss champ and a single pair of knipex cobra xs pliers?

Is this pretty common, or am I just collecting unnecessary multitools?

Hi everyone,
Sharing a few shots of my KENDO multi-tool (open-frame skeleton style design). As you can see from the wear on the black finish, it has been a reliable daily carry for various tasks.
Main features/tools included:
Spring-loaded needle-nose pliers with wire cutters
Main knife blade & serrated saw blade
Metal file with flathead screwdriver tip
Can & bottle opener
Multiple small screwdrivers & awl
Questions for the community:
What is the best way to clean and oil the joints without ruining the remaining black coating?
For anyone familiar with KENDO tools or similar budget EDC models, what would be a worthy upgrade if I want something with a locking mechanism or better steel in the future?
Thanks for your feedback!

Trying this again because my pics didnt come thru last time.
Had to cut thick fabric with these today and the shears went right thru like butter.
Still prefer the Klarus MT07 as a whole over this for a larger multi tool but i like this for duty purposes (zip tie cutter, shears, saw, etc.
In the second picture does anyone know why the flathead locks at 22 / 45 / 90 / 180 degrees?
I think there is a multi purpose beyond screwdriver that I am not understanding with this design.

Hello all, I’m looking to get my first Roxon multitool, and I was inquiring about a few things they are listed below.
- does it come with a pocket clip?
- are all Roxon tools modular?
- what are your opinions on the S503G?
- any other Roxon tool recommendations?

Before I start I currently have the Leatherman skeletool CX and while it’s a great tool and checks all my boxes the pliers have broke on me twice now. So EXCLUDING the Leatherman Skeletool what are my options?
My budget is around $200ISH
It can’t be much bigger than 4/5 inches
Must have good steel and build quality.
Can’t have 20 different tools on it.
Thank you in advance!!!

Hello! Does anyone know if it’s possible to get the Gerber center drive in a bladeless option? Like to have a multitool for work and the bit driver and wire striper/cutters would be amazing but would rather have the file or pry tool over the blade. Thanks
