Surge to arc

Has ANYONE who daily carried the surge for more than 3 months gone to an arc and felt it did the trick?

Everyone says it just feels like a toy after you edc the surge. That was my experience with the P2 as well.

I carried a surge for a couple years before switching and I don’t think I could go back to the surge at this point. The one handed access to all tools is just too convenient and I definitely don’t miss the weight. I’ve carried the surge a couple days since I switched to the Arc out of nostalgia, but it just felt clumsy. I work in the low voltage industry so I’m not doing too much really heavy torquing with the pliers.

Surge is better, I put my arc in my desk at work as an emergency tool. The surge still does all the heavy lifting at home. The arc does indeed feel more like a toy. I think it’s more for collectors and the edc crowd to have something to fidget with. Definitely nice but the surge is better imo.

I literally just mailed mine back 2 hours ago- I believe my Wave Plus will do just fine- if I need a more Stronger multitool I will get a Surge

I carried a surge for 3 years. Modified them, put them through hell and back. They’re the king. But, I switched to the arc and I don’t think I can go back easily. The quick accessibility to all tools and one handed nature of the tool is unbeatable. It’s done everything I’ve needed it too and more. I do miss the ruler markings though. Otherwise it’s been great and I would recommend trying it out. I was hesitant at first because nothing could replace my surge. The arc definitely earned its spot as my favorite tool. The surge will always be the big tool if I need it but the arc is the perfect blend for me and my needs.

Yes. Got my Surge for few years until pliers snapped in the most ridiculous way. Surge is just thicker and bulkier and as long their pliers are made like they are nowdays they are both toys
