The way the reply offsets your picture makes it look like the Bugs Bunnies are playing a game of Warship, but with saws and their lives on the line. Bottom Bugs Bunny just missed and top Bugs Bunny is right on the money and now bottom Bugs Bunny will not only experience defeat, but suffer a slow excruciating death.

A minor grammar mistake would be forgetting an apostrophe, this is "OP needs hours of additional English classes" territory.

u/fall3nang3l 14h ago
Love this. Although technically it's not a spelling mistake, it's a grammatical mistake. Like how folks will also use "seen" incorrectly. "Today I seen a cloud hole."
In OPs case, sawed is spell correctly. "I sawed a hole in the cloud." Is grammatically correct if they cut a hole in the cloud with a saw, but not when they seen it. I mean saw it with their eyes. 😊

It actually makes it more likely, because it boosts engagement. The account has 70,238 post karma despite Reddit's current submitted-post endpoint returning zero posts. But search indexing reveals numerous posts by the account that have subsequently been removed.
I found removed submissions in at least: r/interestingasfuck r/pics r/mildlyinteresting r/memes
Some of those removals specifically say the account was flooding the subreddit with posts and had exceeded the four-post-per-24-hour limit.
That is a bot/karma-farming account.

despite Reddit's current submitted-post endpoint returning zero posts
Their account history is hidden, that's why. Here's the relevant announcement, if you missed it.
Not saying you're wrong though. I mean, the account is only 3 months old but has 85k karma.

Unfortunately typos, spelling errors, and grammatical mistakes is no longer a guarantee that a post was written by a human. The spambot operators have figured out the big tells and trained their LLMs to remove them. Notice how you don’t see the emdash anymore, even though that was a dead giveaway for a little while. Well now they can also include human looking mistakes in their writing.
It doesn’t mean OP is a bot. In fact it looks from their other comments that they’re human. I’m just saying that text errors can’t guarantee you’re reading something from a person anymore.

My understanding is this is caused by either cold air dropping or warm air rising and it punches a hole in the clouds. It’s really cool and nature is amazing. From these type of clouds to aurora and rouge wave nature is awesome terrifying and beautiful

Since no one is posting the answer here it is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallstreak_hole
A fallstreak hole – also known as a cavum,[1]hole punch cloud, punch hole cloud, skypunch, cloud canal, or cloud hole – is a large gap, usually circular or elliptical, that can appear in cirrocumulus or altocumulus clouds. The holes are caused by supercooled water in the clouds suddenly evaporating or freezing, and may be triggered by passing aircraft. Such clouds are not unique to any one geographic area and have been photographed from many places.

I wonder how ancient civilizations reacted when unique natural occurrences like this happened?
Like, I know they must have thought it was a sign from their deities... but did they immediately whip their dicks out and start a fire?

Former meteorologist here, its called a cavum. It has this shape because the middle part of the cloud froze earlier, which means that the drops were heavier and fell while the rim is still water drops.
Sorry for the English, not my first language but i think you get it.

Reddit is so predictable. EVERY comment is about spelling and nothing about the actual picture and the phenomenon. After two or three spelling comments, what was everyone else hoping to achieve by regurgitating the same comment? Do these sheep not feel any kind of awkwardness by being repetitive and boring? "My identical comment is going to be much more funny that the other hundred already posted!"

Remember that the bots are hardcoded to be confrontational to incite arguments and drive engagement.
I’m starting to add an unrelated section to my posts that is bot bait. I’ve had people reply “I have over 30 years experience doing x” and then suddenly delete their comments because of it.
Which is why I don’t need any baking advice.

OP casually discovers a fallstreak hole and everyone’s just glossing over the much bigger revelation that this motherfucker apparently owns a saw powerful enough to cut through the atmosphere. 😂
Seriously though, that’s a gorgeous shot. The streak falling out of the center makes it look like somebody actually punched a hole through the sky and it started leaking.
