Idk if this is a joke or not, but I'm almost certain it's not. You can see light separating (prism/rainbow) in part of the photo, and I would be downright shocked if an AI put in an abnormality like that in the proper spot.
you shouldnt be shocked, AI images can be indistinguishable from real ones nowadays
it isnt worth analyzing the image yourself. you cant discern whether its real or not on your own. What made me suspicious was the fact that this is the most clear image of a fallstreak hole in the internet and its just a random karma farming reddit post. Isnt that suspicious? Theres another quality of the image that tipped me off but I wont say it because itll just make the AI better at hiding it next time
SynthID has been wrong before. It flip-flops between yes/no depending on who is asking it. Hating AI while trusting AI to identify AI is certainly a direction we’ve gone
I’ve seen how it works. There was a post last week about this person asking if their friend’s expensive-as-fuck commission was AI-generated, and a thread started of multiple people asking synthid. It kept giving inconsistent yes/no at random. It’s a coin flip. synthid is not believable.
