Reddit is so predictable. EVERY comment is about spelling and nothing about the actual picture and the phenomenon. After two or three spelling comments, what was everyone else hoping to achieve by regurgitating the same comment? Do these sheep not feel any kind of awkwardness by being repetitive and boring? "My identical comment is going to be much more funny that the other hundred already posted!"
Remember that the bots are hardcoded to be confrontational to incite arguments and drive engagement.
Iâm starting to add an unrelated section to my posts that is bot bait. Iâve had people reply âI have over 30 years experience doing xâ and then suddenly delete their comments because of it.
I have a few months of baking experience with chicken, that's why you should rotate the flour every fifteen minutes for optimal flavour during baking! /s
Iâve started to think the confrontational and literal aspect of this site is driven by bots to cause people to argue over minute details in order to train more AI.
I also think there are a just a bunch of narcissistic keyboard warriors too. Itâs funny when people tell you they know more about your problems cause they did a google search than you do even though you experience it daily.
Absolutely Nothing in the world gets people harder than a chance to point out an error in a social media post. Even if there are already a thousand comments pointing out the error, itâs flies on shit.
I don't even think people even consider that someone else noticed it and already commented on it. Which means they think they've discovered something amazing and are the smartest person in the room. I can imagine someone salivating and sweating while trying to type a condescending comment as fast as possible through their trembling hands. Slamming their phone on the table while unleashing a villainous laugh and screaming, "IMBECILES!" at their kitchen ceiling. Foaming at the mouth from the satisfaction of essentially saving humanity, their blissful moment of ecstacy is interrupted by a violent itch growing in the depths of their butt crevice, and they give in. Whole time, their partner is in the other room on r/hygiene asking if other ppl wash their ass with soap daily and how to tell their partner of 6 years that it smells like a wet towel that's been soaking in old hot dog water for a week every time they even think about being intimate?Â
Thatâs only the nerds of Reddit though. Other social
Media platforms suck in different ways, but the people who have never touched another human intimately that correct spelling and grammar (ALSO including the people that upvote these corrections) are just a Reddit thing
i don't think the point was that it has to be about the picture, but rather the redundancy of commenting on something not related to the picture repeatedly
Itâs a mix of half of them being bots, half being losers who think the same dumb shit is funny. Trust Iâve met them in real life too they talk like bots irl. Coming from me whoâs on Reddit daily lol
I miss the days before the internet boom when every person was unique and had differing personalities.
Right now everyone is trying to be funny. Doesnt matter what the subject of the post is. As you said they will reply with the same joke no matter how many times it has been repeated.
People are chasing things like - first comment on a popular channel, most liked comment, top comment, etc.
The real question in my mind is whether they read all the similar comments and decide to post anyway or just shit out there thoughts with no regard to whatever replies have said before them
the OP is a repost bot that steals content and purposefully misspells the title to drive more engagement. works like a charm because most people donât possess critical thinking capabilities.
It's never a real accidental misspelling either, always some autocorrect failure. I hardly ever see people correct "from the get go" to "from the git go" for example. People are so pretentious.
I think a lot of people don't look before they comment, or at least even glance at the number of comments already posted to realize they aren't about to say something unique.
Reddit is filled with the most insufferable people ever. They love to hop on every opportunity to seem smarter than somebody else. They really really love correcting people. Gets them off.
Reddit is so predictable. EVERY comment is about spelling and there's always the one comment calling them all out without having anything to do with the post. Does this sheep think he sawed the hole in the clouds? /s
I donât read the comments, usually. I read yours because itâs directly under the comment I posted about his illiterate comment. He spelled the word correctly, itâs just the wrong word.
Also the people making fun of him are probably Americans who can barely speak there own language, while English obviously isnât OPâs first language.
Do these sheep not feel any kind of awkwardness by being repetitive and boring? "My identical comment is going to be much more funny that the other hundred already posted!"
You've done the same thing here, playing philisophical curiosity to insult a behavior at the surface level lol.
No one feels awkward typing a comment on reddit. No one feels repetitive or boring. This isnt a social situation. Most people on reddit are just shouting into the void because its a dopamine hit. Myself included.
90% of this site is low effort jokes, pop culture references and bot activity. Unfortunately the last 10% is crowdsourced information the rest of the internet is unable to provide, sigh.
