What does a career in MSF look like

I'm an ID doctor (new attending) and wondering what a career in MSF would look like?

I know pay is low and commitment is high with a lot of time overseas if it would be a full time job.

Is advancement through the organization possible for an anglophone? How do people maintain their US licenses. Does the organization count as nonprofit for something like US public service loan forgiveness (PSLF)? Thank you

Recommendations for a Master's in Humanitarian Action? Also considering Risk Management, Disaster Management?

Hi everyone,

I am currently pursuing a BA in European Studies. I would like to enroll in a Master's in the humanitarian field. I am also interest in Risk Management and Disaster Management. I am not interest in policy-oriented Master's. My dream job is to work on the field, either with a big international organisation or a smaller NGO. I am looking for Master's that provide hands-on knowledge and expertise, more than theoretical knowledge.

Opportunities to meet teaching requirements

I am 27 years old. I’m starting nursing school. I’m learning French. I would like to work with doctors without borders. As I’m going through the requirements, I see one for teaching. That most of the role is teaching. What are some opportunities between where I am at in school and where I’m going getting into the career field that I could look out for and set myself up to be an asset?

Job opportunities as a licensed mental health therapist

Hello everyone! I’m a licensed mental health therapist working in the U.S., and I’ve been considering pursuing a career opportunity with Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières) because I’m strongly drawn to their humanitarian mission.

However, I’m not quite sure how to get started in the humanitarian field, and I’m also unsure how my current credentials might fit. My understanding is that doctoral-level psychologists may be more commonly recruited for mental health roles.

For anyone currently working with Doctors Without Borders, I’d really appreciate your perspective: How realistic is it for a master’s-level licensed therapist with about five years of clinical experience to join the organization? If this background is relevant, what types of positions or roles might be the best fit?

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any insight you’re willing to share!
