I just realized I've spent like 20 hours doing random NPC quests in my current playthrough instead of progressing the main story. The side characters honestly have better development than some of the main cast. Am I alone in this or does everyone do this?

Back in 2005 - I used to play a racing game where both the rank in the race and the damage done to other vehicles mattered. The combined final ranking used to be an amalgamation for these two.
There was also a mode where in a stadium multiple cars will collide against each other and the last one to survive wins. Lastly, any similar games for MacBook currently available ?

Rating Games I've played-
Games I liked:
Alan Wake 2: 87/100
RE4(not finished but so far): 79/100
FNAF Help Wanted: 73/100
Playdead's Inside: 72/100
Little Nightmares 2: 70/100
Games I didn't like as much:
Alan Wake: 68/100(combat too repetitive, story was solid and still ensured that I would want to check out the sequel)
Bendy and The Dark Revival: 63/100(lacking depth in combat mechanics imo, story was nice but nothing remarkable)
FNAF Help Wanted 2: 61/100(doesn't try to be scary majority of the time, despite the fact that it kind of is in the few instances where it actually does try, story is practically non-existent mostly)
Little Nightmares: 58/100(I felt it was a bit too vague, I was lost frankly for the duration of my playthrough, without much understanding for the story that was going)
Poppy Playtime(played till ch. 3): 39/100(Found it difficult to engage with the mechanics, gets confusing at times, and I never really felt any sense of genuine horror when playing it for the most part, story I found vague for the sake of being vague, without a proper reason)
Just my opinions on the games btw lol
But yes, looking for some recommendations that'll be in my 80+ or 90+ tiers

So I've never played any of big walk, content warning, moving out, underward, overcooked, phasmophobia, any backrooms game, human fall flat, or any of those little group/friendslop/collaborative type games. I haven't played any of them and am just looking for a group and game/games that can be good for some laughs and a good time. I never really had people to play any of them with, so i just never tried them
Preferably looking for those who also haven't played something before, so it's new for all of us, lol. Feels like that would make for the best experience, lol. If there is one you haven't played and would like to try, shoot me a dm or comment!
Im on PS5, but I'm open to all crossplay options as well!

Everyone hates when a game forces you through an on-rails tutorial where it freezes the action to make you press every single button one by one. It feels tedious and treats you like you have never held a controller before.
At the same time, dropping the info into a quick text popup or reference menu usually fails too. Most people immediately skip reading the guide to jump straight into gameplay, only to end up confused about basic controls five minutes later.
What game has actually handled teaching you how to play without feeling like an annoying chore or leaving you completely lost?

I'm not sure if people are overreacting to its issues.
