Didnt play the first 2 games of witcher but I think cyberpunk story is better than witcher 3 imo(not saying its bad)

If you play the first two Witcher games and add the third one to the mix as a single, continuous story, it actually comes out better than Cyberpunk; though if Cyberpunk had received one more DLC, I’d probably rank it up there too.

Cyberpunk over Witcher is wild to me. I say that as someone who’s most played and favourite game is Witcher 3. I have played a hundred hours of CP2077, but I just can’t take it seriously, the slang they constantly use is so manufactured, the acting so bad. So rushed. The entire skeleton of the game feels rushed.

For me, Cyberpunk is better, mainly because of its replayability—I’ve played through it, I don’t know, maybe eight times. The Witcher is a great game, but I can’t bring myself to play it more than twice; the gameplay is simply too boring and simple.

I don’t know, I feel the complete opposite. it’s just shoot and heal, no tactics, no premeditation. Gameplay is just do whatever the main quest says, no real exploration, that ”oh my god new gear/recipes” is absent.

Idk, I’d take another look if I were you… there are dozens of iconic weapons in Cyberpunk and rare weapon mods/upgrades hidden in specific areas of the world. There are multiple tiers of upgradable components for both weapon mods and quick hacks. You can premeditate and approach gigs entirely differently depending on your build and life path. It has a lot more in common with Witcher 3 than most people realize (I have ~700 hrs in Cyberpunk and ~300 hrs in TW3)

Yeah I probably should invest some more time into it. I have around 100 hours in Cyberpunk and 600 hours in TW3, so I don’t know if I can even say I know that much about Cyberpunk, 70 of my hours were spent on launch.

i agree tsushima has the best combat

My problem with Cyberpunk is all the pointless dialogue slowing down the action. I think I’d enjoy the game as more of a pure sandbox but can’t get into it with all the chose your response pop ups where your choice has zero impact

1

u/flyintomike 2d ago

yeah i really dislike the dialogue in cyberpunk. it feels so forced

As someone who shares your favourite game, very happy to see it appearing three times in this list

The only game I would ever be able to give a 10/10.

"biggest personal impact" and its league of legends, I suppose its a negative personal impact

hundreds of hours lost, mental health, 3 keyboards, Personally, I’d rather be addicted to heroin than to this shit; a few years ago, I decided never to lay eyes on this game again.

I wish CP2077 was not a first-person.

I can't play first-person games.

1

u/AspectAcceptable6126 2d ago

There is a third-person mod for Cyberpunk, but in my opinion, it doesn't play very well.

So do all who live to see such times

A lot of great pics but Ghost of Tsushima in Best combat and E33 in overrated are absolute no-go pics for me.

1

u/AspectAcceptable6126 2d ago

I chose *Ghost* here because I didn't really know what else to pick for this category; I considered *Elden Ring*, but after getting the Platinum trophy, I felt it was a bit too easy. *Sekiro* beat me because I hate parrying, and *Shadow of Mordor* felt too much like a hack-and-slash game for my taste.

1

u/N0M0I 2d ago

How is Ghost of Tshushima not to easy compared to Elden Ring? Even on the highest difficulty Elden Ring was harder. Elden Ring is also a step above Skiro in difficulty IMO.

1

u/AspectAcceptable6126 2d ago

Honestly, I don't know, but Elden Ring is actually an easy game for me. In Ghost of Tsushima, the combat was simply enjoyable and spectacular. Sekiro is the hardest game I've ever played—due to the parrying—but since I haven't finished it, I don't feel I can say it has the best combat.

1

u/Grovda 2d ago

Playing ghost of tsushima made me so annoyed. The combat is good but it could be so much better. The devs knew it too, if they combat was legendary on its own then there would be no need for stealth and gadgets

I believe gothic 2 remake will come. First one remake is very succesfull.

u/TemporaryPrevious764 2d ago

If CP2077 is your favorite, you're my best friend. Witcher 3 there too? You're invited to my wedding (if I ever get married)

1

u/AspectAcceptable6126 2d ago

I struggled with the urge to pick Cyberpunk for the fourth time, but I decided that would be going too far 😆

1

u/TemporaryPrevious764 2d ago

I made this back in july, thought you may find it interesting. I also was about to use a lot of Cyberpunk, but I tried to add some variety

1

u/AspectAcceptable6126 2d ago

I’d agree with everything except *Siege*—I played it once for about two hours and it’s just not for me—and *Dark Souls 1*, which I think is really weak; though I started the Souls-like genre with *Elden Ring*, so basically all the earlier ones felt weak to me.

1

u/TemporaryPrevious764 2d ago

I see where you're coming from. Siege is kind of fun for me because we always played it with my friends, so I have good memories with it. And I also played Elden ring before the souls games. The story of Dark souls games, or bloodborn and sekiro, are deep and profound. I believe playing them makes the player a better person after playing them, that's why it's there.

Who hates gta4

2

u/Nakopapa 3d ago

I think you should try other games.

1

u/AspectAcceptable6126 2d ago

Which ones are you missing from this list?

1

u/Nakopapa 2d ago

All of them.

u/Vivis_Burner_Account 3d ago

You put 33 as overrated.. I suspect you never played FF16

0

u/AspectAcceptable6126 2d ago

I generally don't like JRPGs, but the idea of *Expeditions* winning Game of the Year over *KC2*, *Hades*, or *Hollow Knight* is just a bad joke. I played through the whole game, and to this day, I still don't understand why it's so beloved.

1

u/Zanoss10 2d ago

FF16 is trash and E33 is overrated lmao

E33 is good for its budget

2

u/Zanoss10 1d ago

Masterpiece 😐

1

u/Sidumpy 3d ago

Painfully basic and GTA IV being overhated is just false. But you like what you like and that's more than enough 😃

1

u/Jorgentorgen 3d ago

Would swap overrated with Nioh

And overhated with Darkest dungeon 2 or Fortnite.

1

u/AspectAcceptable6126 2d ago

I’ve never played Nioh, and I only played Fortnite from Season 0 to 4, so I don’t have enough information about it.

1

u/Jorgentorgen 2d ago

Fortnite is just hated by alot of people but its like unwarranted hate for a f2p with no p2w. I don't like playing it at all, it's not for me but i see the appeal.

Nioh is one of the worst games i've played. The artstyle is horrendous, the gameplay loop consists of replaying missions so you can progress and combat is either stunlocking enemies or get stunlocked and die. And it's not like dmc or fighting games where the stunlock combos are fun and flashy to do or impressive, it's just tedious, clunky and has way too many moves. And the bosses/enemies/map design are insanely repetetive with no flavor.

Yet Nioh is praised as one of the best soulslikes. I don't get it.

u/SacredBoar 3d ago

Extremely basic.

u/OutlandishnessSea119 3d ago

GtaIV has been rated the best GTA by a GOOD amount of people, don't know what makes it overhated

1

u/AspectAcceptable6126 2d ago

Basically, I included GTA 4 only because no one ever mentions it in discussions—it’s always GTA 5 or San Andreas—and personally, I can't stand GTA 5.

1

u/OutlandishnessSea119 2d ago

That doesn't make it hated, there's a huge difference between not talked about, and being hated

1

u/DoggyFinger 3d ago

Yeah it’s like the default best gta game. Maybe op is young and all their friends have only played V?

1

u/Mystic_Words11 3d ago

Drova!!! What a great freaking game. Can't wait for their next project.

1

u/AspectAcceptable6126 2d ago

It’s true—I find it amazing how this game flew under the radar; I’ve played through it three times, and it’s one of the best RPGs I’ve ever played.

u/LinkInaSink 3d ago

1

u/Preform_Perform 3d ago

GTA IV Overhated when it's one of the highest-rated games of all time?

0

u/AspectAcceptable6126 3d ago

Although I personally consider it the best GTA game, it doesn't have the same level of recognition as GTA V or San Andreas; largely due to the state it was in at launch, it has been completely forgotten and underappreciated by many players.
