(Piggybacking off of this comment because my original comment got buried in the Best by the algorithm for including a link, I think. Or for including words the algorith doesn't like):
(From another article on this, so that people can read the story behind the paywall):
"Former British banker and whistleblower Simon Andriesz, who outed Howard Lutnick’s links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, has died by suicide.
Andriesz was previously a managing director at Wall Street firm BGC Group where Lutnick, now the US commerce secretary, was chief executive officer.
The death of the 57-year-old was confirmed by Andy Agathangelou, the founder of campaign group Transparency Task Force, which has previously hosted events related to whistleblowing with Andriesz. Agathangelou said: “It is with great sadness that we share the news that Simon Andriesz, a valued member of our community, passed away last week.”
In February, Lutnick confirmed he had visited Epstein’s island in 2012, contradicting previous statements that he had ended ties with the sex offender years earlier. Speaking before the Senate Appropriations Committee, he said: “I did have lunch with him as I was on a boat going across on a family vacation. My wife was with me, as were my four children and nannies . . . We had lunch on the island. That is true. For an hour.”
Andriesz previously told the BBC how he unearthed evidence indicating that Lutnick failed to disclose a business relationship with Epstein, telling the broadcaster that he had discovered an email chain from 2018 in which Lutnick and Epstein had discussed the prospects of a start-up business they were both involved in. The case was featured in the BBC’s File on 4 Investigates, which was broadcast in July in an episode titled The Epstein Files: Lutnick, the Royals and the British Whistleblower.
Lutnick has previously said on the matter: “I unequivocally condemn the conduct attributed to Jeffrey Epstein and everyone who participated in his illegal activities. The survivors of his crimes deserve our respect and support.”
Shortly after the episode aired, Andriesz spoke at a Transparency Task Force event about what he said was the UK regulator’s mistreatment of whistleblowers, describing the personal cost of coming forward to his career, his health and his family. Andriesz spent over 35 years working in financial markets."

HE MAN WHO EXPOSED LUTNICK
This time I was contacted directly by Simon Andriesz (@SAndriesz), the British whistleblower behind the BBC investigation into US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick (@howardlutnick) and his undisclosed ties to Jeffrey Epstein. He reached out to tell me his story himself.
Here is what he told me, and what the @BBC has already confirmed.
WHO HE IS
Simon Andriesz spent over 35 years in financial markets. He rose to managing director at BGC Partners, a Wall Street firm owned by Cantor Fitzgerald, the firm run for decades by Howard Lutnick.
He was responsible for 3 trading centres at once, London, New York and Chicago, and held a senior compliance signatory role, meaning he was one of the people whose job was to sign off that everything was above board.
HOW HE FOUND LUTNICK IN THE EPSTEIN FILES
When millions of pages from the Epstein files were released this year, most people searched for Lutnick by name. Andriesz knew the firm's executives usually wrote initials in emails instead, so he searched for HWL, Howard William Lutnick. That search turned up a 2018 email exchange between Epstein and Lutnick discussing a startup called Adfin, which both men had invested in.
He passed this to the US House Oversight Committee before Lutnick testified in May. Lutnick told Congress he only learned this year that Epstein had invested in the company. 21 Democrats on the committee say that is not true and have called for his resignation.
Worth being clear on the timeline here. Andriesz was already the source behind this back in February, when Mother Jones (@MotherJones), a US investigative news outlet, first reported the Adfin email chain, quoting him only as an unnamed British whistleblower.
BBC piece in July was the one that finally put his name to the story and told his full account, but he was the one who put this in front of journalists and Congress months earlier.
Andriesz also found records showing that in 2013 Cantor Fitzgerald discussed a plan to loan the then Prince Andrew £1M in exchange for exclusive access to his contacts with wealthy individuals and sovereign wealth funds.
He describes it plainly as an attempt to buy a prince. Epstein himself privately warned against the deal. It never went ahead. Cantor Fitzgerald does not deny the talks took place but says no business was ever done.
WHAT HE SAYS WAS HAPPENING BEFORE ANY OF THAT
Long before Epstein entered the picture, Andriesz says he was already blowing the whistle on the firm itself. Here is what he alleges, in his own words to regulators and to the Transparency Task Force meeting I watched him speak at.
He says money was quietly diverted out of the broker commission pool, the shared pot brokers earn from client trading, to cover costs like a sexual harassment settlement and other liabilities the brokers were never told about.
He says the firm ran what looked like a staff partnership scheme that was really a way to avoid paying employer National Insurance on compensation. He reported this in detail to HMRC.
He says HMRC has since confirmed it acted on his information, and a UK tax tribunal case now public shows HMRC issued a determination against a BGC subsidiary for roughly £96M, which the company is disputing.
He says HMRC is also now investigating advanced loans BGC gave former and existing partners that were later written off. By Andriesz's count, citing the BBC's own tally, fines, settlements and unpaid tax across BGC and Cantor Fitzgerald now top $300M.
He describes the workplace culture as a boiler room, extremely high pressure and, in his words, dangerous to people's health. He says he personally knows of colleagues who took their own lives, and that one whistleblower who worked closely with him and gave him key evidence developed cancer and died 9 months after testifying in his case.
He also alleges that the firm's long running charity, set up after it lost almost all its staff on 9/11, has at times been used to soften its public image while regulatory questions were left unanswered.
THE PERSONAL COST
Andriesz had a heart attack at his desk in 2015. He says colleagues nearby did nothing while he was having it. He later developed panic attacks that felt like more heart attacks and has needed inpatient trauma treatment more than once since.
In 2016 he had a second serious cardiac episode, and says that while he was receiving emergency treatment for it, he was asked to join a work video call and warned about the consequences of not complying. He was dismissed weeks after returning to work, newly married and trying to rebuild his life.
He says the firm's retaliation included sending him to two doctors of its own choosing, one of whom had an unrelated lawsuit against them for writing false reports.
His main witness, a former colleague who had given him detailed evidence, was later rehired by the company and gave testimony that contradicted what he had told regulators years earlier.
BGC reported him to the police for harassment. Police investigated and ruled there was no crime. The firm's lawyers then threatened him with criminal prosecution and prison. Earlier this year the strain put him in a trauma crisis centre for 2 months.
THE REGULATORS, SCORECARD
The CFTC fined BGC $3M and gave Andriesz a whistleblower award of $420K, naming him specifically as overseas Claimant 2 for providing unique firsthand information that significantly contributed to the case.
He says the award only covered part of his medical, legal and trauma treatment costs. A FINRA arbitration panel later awarded him $500K in compensation for retaliation. He tried to get that award increased through the courts and failed.
FCA took 7 years to conclude its own review and, at the end of it, issued nothing stronger than a supervision order. Along the way, he says the FCA wrongly told him he was not protected as a whistleblower because he had given up his anonymity, a claim so wrong the regulator had to publicly correct it at its own annual meeting.
After he was publicly identified in the Epstein files, he says he began seeing online comments speculating about people wanting him harmed. He reported this to the FCA as a safety concern. He says nothing came of it.
He is now formally requesting an independent review of how his disclosures were handled, and whether UK whistleblower protection law actually offers people in his position any real protection.
WHERE THIS FITS
I heard much of this firsthand at a recent Transparency Task Force meeting, where Andriesz spoke alongside other financial whistleblowers describing strikingly similar treatment by the FCA. I know people in that circle, including Andy Agathangelou (@TransparencyTF), Gary Smith (@G8GWS) and Steve Middleton (@stevemiddi1), and this case fits a pattern I have been documenting for a long time. I will add the video link from that event in the comments.
BGC and Cantor Fitzgerald deny his allegations and call them categorically false. Lutnick's office has dismissed the whole story as a partisan attack. I am laying out what has been reported and what Simon has told me directly so people can judge for themselves. You can find the original BBC article and the full File on 4 audio in the comments below.

The whistleblower exposed far more than Lutnick’s Epstein connection. From Zev Shaley’s Narrativ: In February 2021, two FBI agents sat down for a phone interview with a man who had spent 32 years in the securities industry. He had worked inside Howard Lutnick’s companies. He held a Series 30 license — the most senior regulatory position in his unit — and supervised 50 people at Cantor Fitzgerald’s New York office.
He told them Lutnick instructed all of the fraud. He told them the firm laundered money for the Russian Mafia. He connected Lutnick to Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and the offshore financial architecture that brought down Bear Stearns.
The FBI wrote it all down. Three pages. Then did nothing.
Howard Lutnick is now the United States Commerce Secretary.
The whistleblower told the agents that Lutnick “was a neighbor of JEFFREY EPSTEIN in the adjoining property at 11 E 71st Street.” Lutnick “bought the property for $10 through a trust.” “LES WEXNER and EPSTEIN owned the building.” Lutnick “bought it in a very roundabout way from EPSTEIN.”
Property records confirm it all.
In 1988, SAM Conversion Corp. bought the townhouse. The company used Leslie Wexner’s Columbus, Ohio address. Epstein was vice president. In 1992, SAM Conversion sold it to the 11 East 71st Street Trust. Price: ten dollars. Epstein was the trustee. In 1996, the trust sold it to the Comet Trust. Ten dollars. In 1998, the Comet Trust sold it to Howard Lutnick. Ten dollars. Transfer taxes show the real price was $7.6 million. Lutnick took out a $4 million mortgage the same day.
The house shares a wall with 9 East 71st Street — Epstein’s mansion. Same portfolio. Same trusts. Same people.
Then the whistleblower revealed what we’ve been exposing in the Greatest Heist Book 2. [https://www.narativ.org/p/the-greatest-heist-book-2-chapter-1c9\]
He told the agents “there was a relationship between LIQUID FUNDING and executives at BEAR STERNS.” When Bear collapsed, those executives moved to Lutnick’s companies — or “they went to a Russian hedge fund.”
Liquid Funding Ltd. was the $6.7 billion offshore vehicle at the center of Bear Stearns managed by Jeffrey Epstein. Leveraged 180-to-1. Holding toxic securities that included repackaged Trump casino debt. As I’ve been reported in The Greatest Heist, Liquid Funding was the vault — the mechanism through which insiders extracted billions before Bear Stearns collapsed in March 2008, paid for by taxpayers - while America slumped into the Great Depression.
A veteran securities insider, sitting inside Cantor Fitzgerald, told the FBI there was a direct relationship between Liquid Funding and Bear Stearns executives — and that those executives landed at Lutnick’s firm or a Russian hedge fund.
That places the Commerce Secretary inside Epstein’s network as the 2008 crash was triggered by Epstein - and a likely beneficiary of a $6.7 BN taxpayer bailout.
The whistleblower described a criminal enterprise.
Cantor Fitzgerald and its affiliates were “well known for money laundering,” he told the FBI. The firm “had a history of crime.” “LUTNICK ran everything and he maintained a very small circle. LUTNICK instructed all of the fraud being committed. He used philanthropy as a smokescreen for illegal activity.”
The money moved through Parabridge International Services — an affiliate that handled payroll and charity funds. The whistleblower said PIS was connected to Deutsche Bank accounts in Singapore and Hong Kong. Cantor paid brokers from foreign foundations through PIS. A former Deutsche Bank CEO served as its Global President. The Panama Papers connected Cantor Fitzgerald to shell companies.
The money being laundered, the whistleblower said, came “from the Russian Mafia. That was what senior people in the trading market thought.”
He mapped a network that stretched far beyond Cantor. BGC Partners created subsidiaries in Delaware, Cyprus, and Malta. BGC International used the same intermediaries as Inter Jura — the entity associated with Paul Manafort. Aubin Securities was linked to banned Russian entities.

Whistle blowers dying by suicide ought to be a trigger for a public redoubling of investigations at this point, the cause and effect is clear when it comes to bad actors removing those that would destroy them. It's a sorry game we play when we indulge the idea that someone who already took a massive risk has fallen to fear, as opposed to blatantly being killed by the criminal they were exposing.

Lie detectors aren’t accurate or admissible in court. You could use evidence to find out if someone knows something but there’s no evidence to prove if someone can or can’t recall something in their mind, so it’s a perjury proof lie.

How the fuck can The Daily Beast, or any other "news" source, just calmly say "died by suicide"? What a fucking joke. This country is so fucked.

Simon Andriesz died by suicide, according to a report by The Banker, which stated he was 57 years old. His death was confirmed by Andy Agathangelou, founder of the Transparency Task Force, and by U.S. Representative Thomas Massie.
However, no official cause of death has been released by authorities, and neither Agathangelou nor Massie disclosed a cause when confirming his passing. The suicide claim originated from The Banker's report and social media, but has not been independently confirmed by official sources.
Why It's Considered Suspicious
Andriesz was a whistleblower who exposed 2018 email chains between U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and Jeffrey Epstein regarding a startup called Adfin. He had worked under Lutnick at BGC Partners and was fired after raising concerns about accounting irregularities.
His death came about six months after he took his findings to the House Oversight Committee, and he reportedly died while staying at a trauma treatment centre. The timing—shortly after exposing high-profile Epstein links—has raised suspicions among observers and even drew the attention of Rep. Massie. Claims about his suicide have circulated without official confirmation of the circumstances or location of his death.
In short: The reported cause is suicide, but the lack of official confirmation and the sensitive whistleblower context have fueled suspicion.

We need a dream team of professional historical materialist Super Court justices/paratroopers to change the economic base of the United States' parasitic economy.

“Simon Andriesz, a British former Wall Street banker who once worked under Lutnick, died by suicide at 57, The Banker reports.”
“Andriesz, who was living in Cornwall, England, as of July, exposed the extent of Lutnick’s relationship with Epstein earlier this year when he shared a 2018 email chain with House Oversight Committee lawmakers in which Lutnick and Epstein discussed Adfin, a digital advertising company they had both invested in.”
“Andriesz had found the email chain by searching the Justice Department’s release of millions of Epstein files for “HWL,” Lutnick’s initials, knowing from his years at BGC Partners, a financial brokerage firm where Lutnick was CEO, that executives preferred to use initials in emails, he told the BBC in July.“
“The email chain and other material in the Epstein files contradicted Lutnick’s assertions about his relationship with Epstein. The commerce secretary told a New York Post podcast last year that he first met Epstein in 2005 after he and his wife moved next door to him, but said he soon cut off contact after being creeped out by Epstein’s massage room during a tour of his Manhattan townhome.”
“The Commerce Department and the FBI did not immediately respond to a request for comment.”

The comments in this thread will have covered every sensible comment so I'll just point out that we should avoid ever using "trump" and "goon" ever again given how language has evolved.

I hope he had his affairs in order before he passed. And by "affairs", I mean a dead man's drop of incriminating information.

I hate stuff like this. The redditrati will now be convinced this was obviously an assassination and there's no chance it's actually a suicide. I've already seen comments claiming it was obviously the Israelis and other saying it was obviously some billionaire or another. The lack of any evidence supporting this is just more proof how devious "they" are.
I gotta say, anyone assassinating this guy nearly a year after he testified to Congress and six years after he gave evidence to the FBI really has a bad sense of timing.
Stupid conspiracy theories like this are what people like Alex Jones make their living off of.

It absolutely could just be that he killed himself. It is more likely than an assassination.
But let's not pretend that there's no reason to not assassinate someone after they've already done damage. The best time to remove someone is before they tell on you. The second best time is after they tell on you as revenge and/or a warning to others. It's not like there isn't a long, storied history of exactly that going on through human history, after all.
