I'm not so sure. And I'm just talking generally here. I haven't looked into the details on how this particular guy died.

It's just that I can imagine him feeling very frustrated that the sacrifice he made by coming forward was all for naught. Howard Lutnick wasn't sent to prison, or even forced to resign. And he probably harmed his own career, in that coming forward as an informant is probably something that other potential employers wouldn't see as a positive. Even if they're not involved with Epstein Island type stuff, if there's anything they do that they wouldn't want made public, they won't see any appeal in hiring him.

So I'm guessing he's now working at a lower level of job than before, the people he used to work with feel he betrayed them, and the public in general doesn't seem to care. I can see where that might really depress a guy.
