Thanks to u/Pointland32 for choosing my NUTty clue.

This week, let’s have a look at 26 across, S?T?N

Not a large number of options, but quite a few of them are two-word phrases.

I will be back in a week to select a winner. I expect a few devilish clues :)

Can you use "goalpost" to clue H in British cryptics?

Our (American) football goals look like aitches, so we often use "goalpost/s" for H. But UK football is of course different, and I don't know enough about UK sport (or, as my people say, "sports") to know if it would work across the pond.

If not, what DO you use for the SHAPE of an H? (I assume "hurdle" would work, but I'll take any h-shaped thing you've seen in a cryptic clue.)

COTD: The originally bovine-established settlement? (6)

Lore (warning: answer inside): According to Greek legend, the hero Cadmus consulted with the Oracle of Delphi. She instructed him to follow a cow across Greece and to build a city on the spot where the cow finally stopped to rest. This ultimately led to the establishment of Thebes, one of the oldest continuously inhabited settlements in the world.
