I am at a loss here. My husband and I have his 5 kids (ages 4-18) 50/50 so one week on and one week off. We do not have kids of our own as I can not have any. I LOVE my step children. I have a great relationship with all of them and consider myself truly blessed to have the relationships with them that I do. I do however have one issue. I want our house to be a safe place and the children have even said that's exactly what it is. MOST of the time I am okay with them being over when it's not our weeks, and continue our routine and don't think anything of it. However, there are rare occasions where I will ask for no kids at the house during the weeks we do not have them. Whether that's for quality time with my spouse, or needed quiet time. I do have Autism and sometimes then my symptoms are worse, I do need a place to go where there is no sound, and I can just be in a dark room. It's rare, but when I ask for that space, my husband makes me out to be the bad guy, and tells me I am making him feel bad for having kids. I explain, I do not mean to make what I am asking for come off that way, and I explain the reason I do not want them over. He tells me he wants me to tell him when I need the house to myself or just for us, but when I do... it's ignored and the kids come over anyway. Again, I LOVE my step kids, truly I do... is it that bad I ask for some time? I NEVER ask for it when it is their weeks to come over, just when it's their week with their mom....

What do I do?

I am a pharmacist working in medical device industry but I am facing rejections from elite BME programs (ETH Zurich, UCL, Rutgers etc) due to a "lack of engineering mathematics and physics" background. To bridge this gap and preempt further rejections, I am in kind need of recommendations for specific, credit-bearing online programs or courses that are globally recognized by admissions committees as equivalent to the full Engineering Math sequence (Calculus I-III, Linear Algebra) and Physics for Engineers, so that my application to the Master's in Biomedical Engineering is sufficient.

Sorry, I’m new to just trying to lose weight in general so forgive me if I sound stupid

I just started a job and its a retail role, and I walk maybe 5-7 hours per day. My breakfast (on my work days) is half a small matcha latte and my lunch is 2 pieces of fried chicken and my dinner is Mcdonalds medium fries with 6 pc chicken nuggets. (Mcdonalds is the only thing open after work)

On my non work days I eat 1.5 cups of rice with a bit of protein, for the entire day.

I do eat a lot of sodium but I went up on the scale ever since I started to work, and I’m so confused because there is no way I’m eating more than 1.3k calories per day.

Is it genuinely just because of the sodium, making my weight on the scale spike?

I’m female, 5’2, went from 53.1kg to 53.9 today from Sept 29. I was constantly losing weight really easily before, but when I started my job it stopped going down as fast as when I was just at home and eating small meals. It might also be worth mentioning I went from doing absolutely no exercise a day to walking for 5-7 hours 4 days of the week

Planning to spend the holidays in Kalibo with my family (2 adults + 1 infant), but I was honestly surprised by how expensive the airfare is already. The round-trip fare I’m seeing is around 25k+ for the three of us, which is quite a lot for a domestic flight. For those who frequently travel during the Christmas/New Year season, I’d love to hear your strategies.

Would really appreciate any actual tips or experiences from travelers who regularly book flights during the holiday rush. Thank you! 🙏

How are people feeling about the new history course? Im really getting fried in my formatives whereas in MYP I got pretty good history grades. There aren't any sample answers and I feel like I'm evaluating the context yet my teacher persistently marks me low. Anyone else struggling?

Mod Arcane confirmed that Raids 4 will have 8 bosses, with the first and last boss being the same every raid. Rooms 2, 3, and 4 will always have the same selection of bosses to pick from in each room. So players can optimize their raid times by picking the bosses that their gear is strongest against.

So the odds that at least one, probably two bosses are weak to the twisted bow are looking very likely. Runefest also released more information on the available bosses which you can find on the wiki page for raids 4. Three seem highly likely to be affected by the tbow, those being necromancers, Dagonhai wizards, and tormented demons. There's two more that it might be effective against with the Archive Guardian and final boss, the two bosses that you absolutely have to fight in the raid.

So the only argument against the tbow is that the raid comes with a crossbow so you know that some bosses will be weak to heavy ranged. But with that many bosses, and being able to choose which ones you fight, it just seems all but guaranteed to me that the tbow will still remain immensely useful, if not BIS at a couple of them. Shadow and scythe are definitely riskier bets due ayak being so close to shadow, the new focus on elemental magic, and the new megarare needing more space to outshine scythe since its useful in fewer places.

Ich wohne mein ganzes Leben in Hamburg, hier geboren und ausnahmslos hier gelebt. Was genau ist mit den Bahnen und Bussen passiert - bzw. was ist los mit den Leuten?

1) Jede Bahn ist uuuuuultravoll. Egal zu welcher Tageszeit. Bei der U-Bahn geht es ja noch so einigermaßen, die kommt alle 4 Minuten. Aber bei der S1, die sich alle 10 Minuten dazu herablässt zu fahren, ist es iiiiiirre voll​​. Woher kommen die Leute? Und wieso wird da nicht entsprechend mit mehr Waggons oder einem 5 Minuten Takt gegengearbeitet? Hat hier jemand insights, geht das technisch nicht - why?

2) Was los mit den Leuten? Woher kommt das, dass die alle keine Kopfhörer benutzen? Was soll dieses (Video) telefonieren, ohne Kopfhörer und auf Laut gestellt?

Ich sage dazu in 80% der Fällen was, außer es ist ein Riesenschrank - daraus habe ich schmerzlichst lernen müssen - aber außer ein gelangweiltes Schulterzucken​ und weitermachen wie vorher kommt keine Reaktion. Habe alle Frage--und Ansprechtechniken durch.

Würde das aber ungerne immer so hinnehmen, dass muss ja irgendwie unterbunden wenden, wenn schon nicht durch Ansagen usw. dann ist ja public shaming vielleicht effektiv, das ist jedenfalls meine Hoffnung. Aber damit scheine ich allein zu sein.

Sagt ihr was, ja und wie ist eure Erfahrung und wenn nein, was ist euer Grund dazu nichts zu sagen? Weil egal oder aus Angst zu kassieren oder Scham vor anderen?

I was trying get food at like 1 in the morning at the quick eats place which I thought was 24/7 (maybe I’m wrong). I have a card setup with my campus card on the app and I have not spent any dining dollars yet but no matter how many times I swiped the we code the doors wouldn’t open.
Anyone else deal with this problem and is there someone I gotta talk to about it?

I may only be 1 out of their 8 fans, but as for only starting last month I didn't expect to get one so soon while questing! Just sharing a small win, loving this game so far!
