Food Wine can be not vegan

Hello all!
Just wanted to share for those who didn’t know this.

Apparently, wine can be not vegan, as they can use gelatine for its production!
I learnt this during my winery visit.
So be careful and buy bottles which are labeled as vegan.

As for me, I had no idea that gelatine can be used even in wine production 🍷 😥

Edit:
I didn’t mean that ALL WINE IS NOT VEGAN, I meant that SOME WINE can be NOT VEGAN.
!! Can be not vegan≠cannot be vegan !!

The website barnivore tells what alcoholic beverages are vegan.

I know this is a good resource and everyone recommends it, but I really wish people would be honest that it’s an incomplete resource. Many beverages on there have out of date info, and many aren’t even listed on there at all. Plus, the website is not the most user friendly to navigate, so you end up struggling on your phone checking a bunch of different things you see trying to figure out if any of them are vegan options. I honestly hate using it but there’s literally nothing like it

I don't think a single craft beer I've ever tried to look up has actually been listed on that site. It's fine for the standard nationally available mainstream offerings when it comes to beer, but any sort of limited/seasonal release or offering from a smaller brewery just isn't going to be there. For my drinking habits it's entirely useless lol

Yeah I don’t even drink beer. I use it for wines and spirits, and they’re both pretty incomplete lists on Barnivore. It’s basically all based on whether someone else has bothered to investigate with the company and share it with Barnivore or not.
