Tbh, I never even heard of the Malfoid trend until like a saw a short from a channel that specifically talks art trends. It is genuinely not that hard to avoid, just stop using social media.
It sucks this shit is getting attention, but it'll be gone in a few weeks and the people gooning to this won't become fans to the franchise so idc.

Malfoid could almost be interesting if it was made to be transing the gender of a character who's probably not in a great family situation to be trans but a) That could be done with any other character with rich conservative parents and b) you could just make your own blorbos and characters for it. Theres plenty of other bully characters that could be turnt into hot cis women for the fantasy that arent giving attention to Jowling Kowling Rowling, like Flash Thompson (assuming you arent specifically going for rich bully in which case make an original character). Anyways this trend is mid and if you wanna experience Harey Potter do it the way god intended and read My Immortal.

It still draws attention to HP in broad largely cis spaces though, which will inevitably lead to some of the people in those spaces being drawn to the books/show/movies/whatever which in turn becomes money in Jak's pockets, which she will use to push more oppressive legislation against trans people :/

JKR and Nestle are both doing awful things but Nestle is a gigantic mega corporation and I can't really fault anyone for not being able to avoid them. JKR though is a specific identifiable person who makes most of her money from the HP franchise and uses it to opress minorities- and in this case it's just one franchise that's easy to avoid because nothing about it or what it produces is vital to survival. It's not hard to just not consume HP stuff.

I mean, I hated Harry potter even before knowing JKR was a bigot cuz after reading all of it, I started realising it was kinda lacking in worldbuilding. However, the hate to versions of Harry Potter is kinda weird. I do get that (if, in this case, its admittedly paying the copyright), it's harmful, but projects like this usually brush it off as "loose inspiration", or "easter eggs", or whatever.
