UK Based. My google pixel 8 pro has been on its last legs for a while in the charging/battery department and its starting to really bother me. Id like to replace it, but I don't want to go on contract and owe a monthly payment, so the replacement needs to be one that I can afford upfront.

My budget is £200-£300, pushed to £400 if the long term benefits of paying extra outweigh the short term savings.

The things I care about most:

- Decent storage for apps, photos etc.

- A good camera. This is why I got the Google pixel 8 to begin with. I really like taking photos.

- A good screen for watching YouTube.

- Still getting regular updates for security etc.

I want this to be a relevant phone for atleast the next 5 years. I have just settled into a home with a mortgage etc. and trying to live as cheaply as possible while we build up our savings again. If I dont have to worry about phone upgrades, then all I have to do is pay for my sim.

I am in India. We have an upcoming sale on phones.

I'm planning to upgrade my phone. I'm confused between moto signature and pixel 11.

I currently use a motorola phone, G82. On paper, the motorola phones look much better than the Pixel. However, I am concerned about the software updates. My current phone was supposed to get upgraded to Android 14. But never received the update.

While I have seen that Moto has delivered the latest update rather quickly, I am not so sure about it in the long run. The phone has ultimately worked well for me. I had to get my screen changed once due to the green line issue. But yeah, overall a fine experience aside from the software.

Now, my main requirements are

1. Clean software

2. Good cameras

3. Consistent software updates

I don't play many games or anything. So, I am fine with a less powerful phone. My phone usage can be high. But battery life isn't a major concern either...

I was thinking of getting either of them in BBD. But I have a relative going to Dubai. So, I might get the Pixel from there, if I find it cheaper there...

Will there be any issues if I get the phone from Dubai?

does any know any good mid tier phones . this time around im buying out of my own pocket and im not doing well financially.
i thinking of leaning towards samsung, pixel or moto.
