Towards the end of October, Santiago de los Santos, aka Capitan Tiago, threw a major dinner party. Though he dropped the invite last minute that afternoon, which was totally off-brand for him, it instantly went viral across Binondo, the neighboring suburbs, and all over Manila. At the time, Capitan Tiago was flexing as the absolute main character, and everyone knew his both crib and his hometown were basically an open house for literally anyone, so long as you were trying to push heavy business deals or pitch wild, out-of-the-box ideas.
Word spread at lightning speed among the cloutchasers, freeloaders, and literal gatecrashers, who FR FR God keeps spam spawning all over Manila. People were scrambling to shine their shoes and fix up their drip, but everyone was mostly stressing over how to casually dap up the host. They all wanted to fake that "we go way back" energy to flex on everyone watching or cook up a smooth excuse for why they be showing up late.
The function went down at this flat on Anloague Street. Lord knows I lowkey forgot the exact house number, so I'm just gonna drop the lore so you can spot it today, assuming an earthquake hasn't vibe-checked it to the shadow realm. Ain't no way the owner would ever tear it down himself, tbh, because God and Mother Nature usually handle the demolition work around here as literal pro bono government contractors.
This house is an absolute unit, sitting right on the edge of the Pasig River (or the Binondo creek, depending on who you ask). Like literally every river in Manila, it’s hard carrying the entire server: it’s a bathtub, a literal toilet, a washing machine, a grind spot for fishing, a highway for boats hauling random loot, and on super rare RNG drops, it might even be hauling drinking water if the delivery guy isn't trolling.
The most unhinged part is that for a zone with this much sweat and crazy heavy traffic, there was barely one janky ass wooden bridge for an entire kilometer. No cap for the first half the year, one side is completely bricked, and the other half, it's the other side's turn to be literally unplayable. The infrastructure is so chalked that during the summer, the horses just say "It is what it is," break their pathing, and y33t themselves straight into the river. It completely jump-scares whatever NPC passenger noob is passed out in the carriage or trying to rationalize the state of the current meta.
