Time is in PST but still. Genuinely ridiculous

I’ve been playing since 2021ish, so not crazy long but a decent amount. This whole time I genuinely thought Cassidy was screaming “RAHHHH” when he’s firing using his ult, seemed reasonable to me since a lot of video game characters yell unintelligibly while fighting, I would too. But I turned on subtitles not too long ago and I realized he’s actually saying “draw”. The more you know. Also I love subtitles

I think a lot of the anger toward the NetEase-exclusive skins comes from the declining quality of Blizzard’s newer cosmetics while their prices continue to increase.

D.Mon is a perfect example. Both of her skins cost around $40, yet neither one changes any of the details of her “mech”. So naturally, when you see a Chinese-exclusive NetEase skin that DRASTICALLY changes both her pilot design AND her “mech”, you’re left wondering why Blizzard isn’t putting that same level of effort into the cosmetics they’re charging everyone else so much for.

The Evolution skins make that comparison even worse. These are skins that actually evolve and change throughout gameplay, and Shion just received the latest one despite currently having basically no cosmetics outside of her original $40 bundle. You can literally see the kind of premium content Blizzard could be making.

I honestly think the exclusivity is only part of why people are so upset. If Blizzard was regularly releasing cosmetics with this level of quality, creativity, and effort, would the backlash toward the Chinese exclusives be nearly as bad? Probably not.

And I don’t think people are necessarily against expensive skins either. If you’re asking people to spend a decent chunk of change but giving them something that transforms during gameplay, drastically changes the character, or genuinely feels premium, I think people would be much more willing to justify the price.

The NetEase skins are basically showing people what their money could be getting them, and that makes Blizzard’s increasingly expensive but sometimes less ambitious cosmetics look even worse by comparison.

Let’s not even get into the mythic situation….

I am around like level 19 on her, and have the basic kill combos down. One thing I do struggle with is the consistency of her ult, which I stealth in to use. I can either get team kills with it, or get killed pretty much instantly. I also usually play her on off angles, whic works a majority of the time. Any ideas on how I can improve?

Also arent they meant to be a tacky character? Why are people surprised when they have a tacky haircut in a skin (i am not defending the spellcaster one tho that hairstyle is atrocious)

Hazard is one of the least, if not the absolute least, popular heroes in Overwatch. What happened?

It sort of seems like he had everything going for him, but it just didn’t pan out. Great voice acting, interesting ability visuals, a connection to a prototype hero that had been talked about quite a bit, brought a new faction into the lore, and he was a winter release so he came out when it was cold and the holidays, so people had more time inside to play. Sure, his character design is pretty basic compared to the INSANE concept art that the original Phreak hero had, but does he look so bland that he’s forgettable?

I think Hazard is a super unique and interesting hero and he has a lot of potential, but being so unpopular I wonder if he’ll ever get any meaningful cosmetics or lore again.

The skins from the Netease bundle "Defiled Anthem" comes with highlight intros for all the characters. This Emre one especially caught my eyes for how good it is.

I know these are commisioned and produced by Netease, but just what is stopping Blizzard from producing highlight intros with the same quality?

GF has been playing competitive stadium practically nonstop since the beginning of the season. Normally I would have expected her to have completed the battlepass like 3x over by now but she still isn't even 1/3 of the way through the level 55 tier yet. She doesn't have the paid battlepass and I do but I am only 1 or 2 titles beneath her with probably 5x less games than her. Is this a bug or did Blizz go overboard with the exp tuning/bugged for stadium? She was top 20 for most of the season and queue times were a lot added on top as well (15m+ queue times). I've seen other people with the <3 title but don't know how they got it or if they purchased tier skips. It just seems ridiculous to me that she played the entire season nonstop from morning to night to not even be halfway through the titles in the battlepass yet. Most dailies and weeklies done as well. Pls Blizzard, I think she deserves to finish the battlepass at this point lol.

Can we be more mad about this?

Earlier this season, when Blizzard admitted the Battle Pass progression was busted, they promised us five tier skips and a double XP weekend later on to make up for it. Well, here we are in the final weekend of the pass, and... Nothing. No double XP anywhere.

This isn't just assuming we'd get one because past seasons had them. They literally told us we were getting one.

Plus, the progression this season has just felt awful overall. Stadium had XP bugs, event XP feels super scarce, and the prestige track is longer. Even players who always finish the pass are having to grind out of their minds these last few days. Oh, and let's not forget the servers going down this weekend, screwing people out of even more time to finish (btw are we just not going to acknowledge that either lol). I guess I'm not even doing drives which I also always get done.

Actually I usually max out the Battle Pass no problem. I've done all my dailies and weeklies, queue All Roles for the bonus XP, watched twitch streams for the drops, and I still need to grind a crazy amount of QP just to hit the final prestige tier. Yeah, I know the last reward is "just a title" but that completely misses the point.

The point is Blizzard admitted there was an issue, promised a specific fix, and then totally ghosted us on it.

If it got cancelled just say so! If it's still dropping before the season ends, let us know!!! But quietly sliding into the final weekend after explicitly promising double XP is a joke.

And like Blizzard you're a huge ass company. I get profit is cool and all! I get that y'all just want us to play the game!! But we as your player base deserve some basic respect and transparency 😞 And the fact so many of us are not finishing stuff we normally finish, missing out on shit, or have to skip other stuff to get this done is going to affect how many people buy the battle pass in the future 100%.

Like do they NOT want money???? Like it gets to a point why do they do this so often. Just stick to the design and make actually good skins instead of making bad ones like smbahaksbsksn

Edit: for those who dont realize, they gave the ONLY good design hazard has ever had to REIN, yk, the tank that gets a skin every other week

Do I need to break into top 15% or is 16% good for the sub?

Since Stadium stopped getting support I have been wondering what do people personly see as the reason to why they stopped playing it or never played it in the first place

i will really miss my beloved right click a lot, but i'm willing to embrace this rework and try loving the new ability and gameplay.

this will be a new journey for Hog.....a bad one? a good one? who knows, only the time will tell, we can just accept it!

I play something like Mauga, sigma, hazard, etc and I feel so helpless if she’s stomping on my support’s. Best thing I can do during a team fight is to take attention to me so she doesn’t get healed. 9.5/10 times the DPS never peels.

Winston does pretty well aganist her but she’s so fast and nimble.

Edit: this is how most of my games goes like

I play magua or sigma

- Get a support pick or dps or both

- If I play mauga I am going in with overrun and stomping with cardiac overdrive for the massive hp crit stomp if I am lucky.

- blasting at the enemys faces while laughing evilly

- Look back and the enemy tracer is somehow 1v4ing my backline and the supports are loosing their marbles

Enemy tracer goes 25-1

- I switch to sigma because I guess I am playing to aggressively and I hard anchor somewhere with cover for my team to push thru while i am holding onto my dear life with my abilities and cover while the team still has PTSD from tracer so they play 1000 miles from me

- we lose because the team doesn’t want to push

Wuyang staff is going to a lucky redditor. The Ana rifle and Mei gun are both first builds to understand the model properly before making more. I thought I was just a cool pic of what I've put together so far.

Not necessarily the most effective, but the most annoying. For me it has to be invulnerability and spam AOE. It just screams, low skill floor/high impact if done well. It feels like you’re fighting a player that has to concentrate way less than you but deals the same value.
