Men, what’s one small, seemingly insignificant thing you’ve noticed that can be a telltale sign of the difference between a genuinely good man and a bad one?

Their humor comes at the expense of others. This can be blatant but it can also be subtle.

If you can't get a laugh without making someone feel bad you're not funny, you're just a cruel asshole.

Also worth noting how they react when they're the punchline. I've had many coworkers who would relentlessly "banter" with team members but get aggressive the second someone made a similar joke about them

I think an exception can be made for friends, though. Not so subtly insulting each other can be bonding, too. :) I take your caveat that if it's the only method, though.

You can tell a lot by who someone thinks is acceptable to be the punchline. Being funny shouldn’t require putting someone else down.

The person who keeps making someone uncomfortable just because everyone else is laughing is showing you they care more about getting a reaction than whether they’re actually hurting someone.

Somehow these are also the types that get really pissed off when it's done to them and if they do it "they're only joking" and if it's the other party "you are a bad person".

Absolute hypocrites with zero accountability.
