I have like 8 characters going... one thing I think is worse in forever than retail is that the classes take a while to get going. Which makes me more of an altaholic I think.

I think this is why I can't not play priest, no alts just priest. lots of buttons to press and healing a dungeon or raid or pvp is never the same experience twice

A week ago it was mage, a few days ago it was warlock. The day after was hunter, yesterday was shaman, and today was paladin. Still no idea.

I take my names way too seriously.
But almost every single "thats a great name" name that I have used over the years is all built around being iconic mononyms. None of them lend themselves too well with becoming just part of a pair of names, first or a last name.
But thats the thing about two names.
Now everybody can be a Imhotep. But nobody will be the Imhotep.
I think that there's a little magic lost in that, but hopefully getting to play on one mega server will make up for it.
But as an example, in Tolkien's Middle-Earth, Elves don't have last names, so Legolas was just Legolas (not on my list of great names). So everybody is going to be able to be some version of Legolas, but nobody will be the Legolas.
I would have preferred a system that would also allow for first name only names but in the end, I think I get why they decided they couldnt or shouldn't.

I really want to use Forever as an opportunity to try new roles and experience the game like I never have. I want to give healing and tanking an honest try and provide more utility to my groups. I love the idea of being somebody that gets into groups quickly and is flexible if somebody drops out of the instance.
That being said, I’m rolling Rogue again.

I would love to try healing but I have no idea how to level one and I don’t like the idea of learning a class within a dungeon. Especially since outside of a dungeon I’ll mostly be solo.

I would love to main a shadow priest or ele shaman but I don’t really want to pay the hybrid tax and everyone assumes you’re the healer version of that class when lfg

I’ve run into this a couple times playing shadow priest in the beta. I just start shouting dps lfg and get invites that way. If I use the group finder my invites always come with the option to pick dps or heals, then when you join it’s very clear they want you to heal so I say “no thanks” and go back to lfg

Shaman! The answer is always shaman. Just wish they made it so that dropping WF totem while having WF weapon gave you a small buff rather than doing nothing. Increasing the chance of getting a proc would be nice. This way we could keep our WF weapon while still dropping the totem for the other melees.

It sucks that the weapon buff is stronger than the totem. So either you go flame tongue on weap + wf totem, or you go wf on weap and get zero benefit from the totem.

I usually main paladin in retail, so I rolled a dwarf paladin. Idk if I’m doing something wrong but I constantly feel like I’m undergeared and underleveled. And then the playstyle and abilities of the paladin aren’t really appealing to me switching around the auras and what not. So all that to say is I’m still undecided

I also want Skyborne Druid because the forms look cool.
But i also want a Night Elf Druid.
Also a Shaman anything.

I want 2h DPS and the only optios are hybrids. It's either be one of a million Paladins or risk Shaman and Blizzard not making them DW in 6 months. Arms warrior is never going to be allowed to do real dps.

Shaman. Hands down. I hope ele is good, but I like all three specs and it’s a great balance of a capable hybrid class with great mobility.
I thought about playing something flips Rogue or Hunter since I play pure DPS most of the time on Retail, but having an open world where there’s actually a risk of dying and people actually out and about leveling/adventuring just makes it so fulfilling when you can save someone who’s in a tough spot with some quick heals.
