Screenshot Why is this Chort in White Orchard? It's on a rampage
Is this a bug? It's killing all the villagers and fucking my shit up. I'm level 3 😭

Currently we have a Bugs Thread for everything going wrong with the new update. If we leave the main channel open for answers, that will help everyone get here and find what they're looking for faster. While still leaving you a Bugs Thread to complain in.

There are entirely too many threads about the same thing right now. Please post your bugs and images of what's going wrong here.
EDIT: Some of you are missing the point of the Bug Thread. The point is that the main channel is getting flooded with the same questions. I'm not trying to silence any of you. I'm trying to leave the main channel open for answers rather than repeated questions. This place can be where you complain. The main channel can be where answers are posted.

Just got to the Baron's quest line. Has skipped every line of dialogue in the game so far, immediately looks at his phone anytime there is dialogue for more than 5 seconds, doesn't know anything about why we are doing what we are doing
"Why are we chasing a goat?"
"This is boring I don't know what's going on"
"This game isn't doing it for me, Let's play Battlefield"
Honestly fucking heartbreaking.

Haven't seen any posts about this, so I'll ask: which camera angle are you using?
With the release of The Witcher 3 Remastered, CDPR have once again added a new camera angle. Which do you prefer?
The original centered high fov camera angle the game launched with in 2015
The "close" camera angle added with the Next Gen edition
The "modern" camera angle added with the Remastered version
I personally disliked the close camera angle added with Next Gen, and always stuck with the original. It was just way too claustrophobic imo.
I might end up using the new modern option, though. It's zoomed out quite a bit compared to "close", and, while not perfectly centered, Geralt is a lot closer to the center of the screen (still slightly offset to the left). Seems like a good middle ground between the original and "close." Thoughts?
Personally I'd love if they added an option to just slightly zoom in while using the original camera.

I wanted to make an appreciation post amongst all others to share my gratitude for this game and the developer team behind it all. The release of the remaster hasn't been perfect, but I appreciate the effort these developers have put forward to fix the issues. A free remaster of this masterpiece is one of the most generous gifts I have seen been given out and I can't express how thankful I am to be able to see my favorite game in a whole new way. I look forward to and can't wait for Songs of the Past and Witcher 4 and all of the future developments this team has to offer. Here are a few screenshots from my new game + play through. And as always, good luck on the path fellow witchers. 🤝

my platform is ps5 and this is from new game plus, my last round's Ciri still can summon roach, what am I missing?
r/Witcher3 • u/Gelo_Man • 15h ago
photo not mine
Am I the only one who still gets incredibly annoyed by Roach's movement?
The remaster improved a lot of things, but horse movement still feels ridiculously janky.
You still get:
°Invisible walls that completely kill your momentum.
Roach getting stuck on or bouncing off random trees and objects
°Weird pathfinding/navigation that makes Roach suddenly change direction or take some completely stupid route
°Getting blocked by terrain that looks like Roach should easily be able to pass
°Roach randomly refusing to go where you're actually trying to go
°Constantly fighting the controls instead of actually riding the horse
°Roach teleporting to the most inconvenient location when you call her
And honestly, sometimes it's just faster and less frustrating to get off Roach and run like a psychopath.

Like everyone and their mom, I'm playing W3: Remastered. I set the camera to Close and it generally changes the feel of the game. I feel it could still be a little tighter (ie. RE4 or GOW 2018) but I'm loving this new perspective. Has anyone else tried it out? If so, what's been your experience?
r/Witcher3 • u/Fuija • 6h ago
It stumbled at the beginning, but after a few graphical tweaks, I've been able to get a steady 70-90fps depending on the area. No glitches or bugs - so far it's been smooth sailing for me.
What are your experiences and what tips do you have to improve the game?

Feels like I'm playing a whole new game from the one I did on my subpar laptop in 2015 on low to medium settings. Hairworks + PT also looks like what they were going for all this time, finally.

In the complete edition, you could get him to sown in by meditating for an hour, now bro is just a missing persons case.

I was just wondering since they changed some of the skills and I was wondering if the Ursine armor and griffin armor were still the best

In the first picture you can see that when Geralt is being directly hit by the light, he's normal, but when I move to a slight darker place he turns black, as you can see in the second image.
Edit1 - Messing with the graphics settings I found out that this stops happening once I turn on Path Tracing, by then my FPS goes to shit

So... Can we talk about the fact 5.00c seems to have completely botched lighting unless you have RT or PT turned on? Even 4.04 wasn't that dark. Like, RT and PT are very nice looking don't get me wrong, but before I fixed RT on Linux all I had was super dark regular lighting, lol. Not mentioning messed up hairworks on 5.00c.
These images are in order: 1.32, 4.04, 4.04 RT, 5.00c, 5.00c RT, 5.00c PT
All taken pretty much at same ingame time, 1.32 is just one hour later.
On that note, 5.00c RT is superb when compared to 4.04 RT, ngl.

Love Gwent, having so much fun playing it again in the remaster :)
