[RUMOR] According to a Witcher fan on Reddit, Denise Gough (Yennefer’s English VA) recently said while signing a copy of 'The Last Wish' that she had been recording new lines for Yennefer, specifically lines involving Ciri.

Don’t forget to vote for The Witcher at the Golden Joystick Awards!

I think most people here don’t need much convincing when it comes to The Witcher 3, so here’s just a reminder to show the series some love this year.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered is up for Best Remake / Remaster, and The Witcher 4 is also nominated for Most Wanted Game.

So if you’re excited for what’s next and still think TW3 deserves its flowers more than a decade later, don’t forget to vote.

Vote here:

One vote for the past, one for the future.

Not sure if this is the right flair, apologies if not!

Think that I'll be able to run The Witcher 4?

My specs:

Windows 10

RTX 3070

Ryzen 5 3600x

32gb ram

I was told that The Witcher 3 Remastered required Windows 10, but several people have told me that they can run it just fine.

I'm afraid that it's not gonna run on my specs because I don't meet Daywalker's specs, which are:

Intel Core i7-11700K / AMD Ryzen 7 5700X

NVIDIA RTX 4060 / Radeon RX 7600 XT / Intel Arc B580

Memory: 16 GB RAM

That and I have to run FF16 on the next to lowest settings for it to run without issues.

Unfortunately upgrading my pc isn't something that I can afford to do anymore.

What unresolved conflict does Ciri even have after Witcher 3?

Playing as Ciri makes no narrative sense to me except that it's a popular and familiar character.

Ciri is the central catalyst in the Witcher 3, and at the end of the Witcher 3 she stops finally running from her destiny and saved the universe, all while doing it by gaining what she wanted the most, independence. The Witcher 3 more or less concludes her story.

Ontop of that, she gets everything else, a stable family (If you choose either Yen or Triss) and her lifelong personal goal of becoming a Witcher.

It's not that Ciri can't do interesting things as a witcher, but the big question is what does Ciri want that she doesn't already have?

Ciri won't work just by her desire to be a witcher alone, she already achieved it. Dealing with her newfound independence? Seems low stakes. The only thing I can think of are cliches like killing Geralt and/or Yen, and go on a revenge arc, or we go back to ruining the Witcher 3, or retconning Witcher 3, with big end of the world scenarios. That or they make up non-organic reasons for her.

Yes, the time skip will help, giving her new motivations, new interests, new characters and new problems. But at that point, that's not the Ciri we all recognize, if we're going out of our way to create an entirely new identity for Ciri that nobody recognises, then why didn't we start with a new Witcher?

Tldr: Why make Ciri the main character? After the Witcher 3, it's hard to organically make a character arc with the Witcher 3 Ciri, she got most of what she wanted and completed her character arc. If they reinvent Ciri with the multi year gap, then why not make a new character?

A Gwent change I hope they make for the TW4 - choose your starting deck

Don’t get me wrong, I love my northern realms deck. But by the time the other decks are good/collected enough to use you’re basically done all the gwent quests (DLC excluded obvs).

This remastered is my 3rd of 4th playthrough and I was thinking how cool it would be to start with a different deck this time and collect the northern realms cards like I would other decks.

What are the lyrics at 4:18 in The Witcher 4 trailer?

Does anyone know what the vocals are saying at around 4:18 in The Witcher 4 cinematic trailer?

The song is “No Gods, Only Monsters” by P.T. Adamczyk. I’m trying to figure out the lyrics in that specific section

Does anyone know the lyrics or what language they’re singing in?

An Open Letter to CD PROJEKT RED: Optional Synthesized Voice Localization for Non-Primary Language Markets

Dear CD PROJEKT RED Team, First of all, thank you for your continued commitment to immersive storytelling and localization. Your support for regional text localizations, including Ukrainian, means a great deal to players and gaming communities around the world. We would like to make a sincere request regarding full voice support for languages that currently only have translated text. As players from these regions, we would love to see CD PROJEKT RED consider experimenting with neural/automated voice synthesis for languages such as Ukrainian, Georgian, Azerbaijani, Kazakh, and others where traditional studio dubbing may not currently be economically viable. We completely understand that professional human voice acting remains the ideal standard for a game of this scale. We are not asking you to replace your current approach or compromise the quality of your main voice performances. Instead, we would simply like to ask you to consider optional automated voice packs as an additional accessibility feature. Why This Matters to Players For many of us, playing a large, dialogue-heavy RPG entirely through subtitles can make it harder to become fully immersed in the story, especially during combat, exploration, or fast-paced action where constantly reading text is difficult. Even if an automated voice pack cannot match the emotional depth of professional actors, simply being able to hear characters speak in our native language would still be extremely valuable. It Could Be Completely Optional We understand that CD PROJEKT RED has its own artistic vision. A synthesized voice pack would not have to interfere with the official voice acting. It could simply be offered as: an optional downloadable voice pack; an experimental or beta feature; an additional community accessibility option; or a post-launch language pack. A Request for Future Projects We sincerely ask you to consider testing this technology for future projects, including The Witcher IV and other upcoming titles. For many players, hearing Geralt, Ciri, Yennefer, and other characters speak in their native language would be something genuinely special. Thank you for taking the time to read our request and for continuing to create incredible worlds. Best regards, [CD PROJEKT RED Fan Community]

Would you like to see Ukrainian AI-assisted voice localization in future CDPR games?

*\*Would you like to see Ukrainian AI-assisted voice localization in future CDPR games?**

I’ve been thinking about something that could be interesting for *The Witcher IV* and future CD PROJEKT RED games.

CDPR already provides text localization for Ukrainian, but there is currently no full Ukrainian voice localization. With modern AI voice technology, I wonder if it could be possible to create **optional AI-assisted voice packs** for languages that don't currently have full dubbing — Ukrainian, Georgian, Azerbaijani, Kazakh, and others.

I’m not suggesting replacing professional voice actors or changing the main voice acting. An AI voice pack could simply be an **optional extra**, perhaps released later as an experimental/beta feature.

For players who already read subtitles in their native language, being able to actually hear Geralt, Ciri, Yennefer and other characters speaking that language would add a completely different level of immersion.

Obviously, there would be questions about voice rights, quality, pronunciation, acting, QA, etc. And I understand that AI voices won't necessarily provide the same performance as professional actors.

But considering how quickly the technology is developing, do you think something like this could realistically become an option for regional languages in future RPGs?

I’m actually planning to send this idea to CDPR as a player request, so I’d also be interested in hearing what other players from Ukraine and other regions think about it.**

Could be an interesting experience, most people probably don't know that Ciri has a darker side.

Karolina Stachyra - the legendary Senior Writer of the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt rejoined CD PROJEKT RED for The Witcher 4

Recently, I was browsing through LinkedIn and saw that this phenomenal woman rejoined our beloved studio. Back in 2015 and 2016 she was working there on e.g. Bloody Baron's questline from the main game and Dead's Man Party from Hearts of Stone. I am happy to see more and more rejoinings!

CD Projekt Red Warns The Witcher 4 Choices Will Haunt Players With Ambiguous Consequences That Leave a Lasting Mark & a remake of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is not out of the question

From the article:

"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is rightly considered one of the finest role-playing games ever released, and much of its success relies on CD Projekt Red's morally grey storytelling. For The Witcher 4, the Polish developer will double down on these elements, which are being further refined by the game's long development cycle.

Speaking at the International Festival of Comics and Games in Łódź, as reported by the Facebook fan page Wiedzminlandia, CD Projekt Red joint CEO Adam Badowski commented on the long development times, saying that the studio doesn't chase trends, and that they are "primarily due to the immense emphasis placed on the story, which shapes the entire production process from start to finish. The narrative is frequently rewritten to maximize its emotional impact on players—ensuring it isn't hollow but truly resonates." One of the ways The Witcher 4's story will resonate with players will be the game's ambiguous choices and consequences. According to Adam Badowski, these are intended to "make a lasting impression on the player."Unfortunately, not much else about The Witcher 4 was revealed during the panel. When asked about the game's combat system, it was only said that it would be an evolution of the system seen in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, while reiterating the reasons behind the engine switch to Unreal Engine 5.

However, in regards to the series as a whole, it's been suggested that a remake of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is not out of the question. When asked about it, Adam Badowski mentioned Jakub Rokosz from Fool's Theory (who is developing the remake of the first entry in the series), noting that The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is his favorite game.

As such, it definitely sounds like the door isn't completely closed. However, I expect remaking the second entry in the series will ultimately be more challenging than remaking the first The Witcher game. While the original game is very dated, its story elements are deeply rooted in the Slavic themes that dominate the novels written by Andrzej Sapkowski and that fans have come to love in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

The second entry in the series, however, is mostly focused on politics, which felt very far removed from the rest of the series, considering Geralt's stance on the matter in the novels. How such a story would be received by fans today is a real unknown, but nonetheless, I would love to see a modern take on an experience that, for better or worse, significantly shaped its more popular sequel."

Witcher 3 PS5 Free Release and hopes for Witcher 4

I am currently on my 6th full play through in total.

Once on release, again about a year later, then when hearts of stone came out, then blood and wine, again on PS4 upgrade, and now most of the way through the PS5 version. I have platinum’d the
First 2 versions as well as the dlc’s.

I will say, I do miss the cheesy one liners like “Right between the eyes” and “Hasta la vista baby” when you get a head shot. But that trophy felt much easier to get.

All of the characters felt so flushed out, and each option for dialogue actually felt like it mattered. The timeline in which you completed quests, even being locked out of others by not choosing the right options, object permanence, npcs being killed and for good, and the bleak choices that really made you think were just a few things that made the Witcher 3 what it is.

I truly hope there is as expansive of a story tree for the 4th game with Ciri. They sent nGeralt and the love of your choice (Yen personally) in Blood and Wine. I’d live on that vineyard in a heartbeat.

PlayStation 5: Walked the Path and Ran the Gauntlet not working!

Hello I hope you all have a great time while waiting for the remaster to come out!
I have finished the game including both DLCs, and I have gotten 76 out of 79. I only have three trophies left which are Walked the Path and Ran the Gauntlet, and the Platinum. Also all my saves are from PS5 version. I started a new game plus and finished the game on Death March difficulty which eventually should give me the last two trophies for the platinum. However, I have loaded and finished the game multiple times, but still the trophy doesn't pop up. I am sure that I never changed the difficulty during my new game plus play through. In order to fix it, I have tried the following steps: clearing PS5 catches, restoring license, disconnecting CDPR cloud saving, playing the ending without internet connection, deleting and reinstalling the game, traveling and mediating before going to the inn to meet Ciri, and playing the game from Thin Ice checkpoint to the end without skipping any cutscene or dialogue multiple times. I would very appreciate you my friends for any kind of help or advice. Please let me know if any of you have experienced something similar or the same. Thank you so much for your time and help! Have a great time!
