Since a week, maybe two, I hear that mysterious noise, from I don't know where. It sounds like water dripping or something like that.

At first, I thought it came from outside but opening the window doesn't help me at all to find the location. In fact, it even seems to decrease its intensity.

I hear it mostly at night, but sometimes during the day. I'm sure it's not the rain and no water is running during the night. It usually lasts a minute, then comes back after 5-10 minutes.

I have trouble sleeping because of it.

I recorded it with my phone and amplified it. (Warning, it's loud.)

It stinks, too! Genuinely no clue what it could be!

Walnut? Fungus? It’s hard as a rock. We are in Sacramento California on a hike and none of us can decide what this is

Found this on my closet floor. I have two cats.

I’ve been going on walks during the evening hours this summer, and I’ve been hearing this animal call every single night without fail. It’s always in the same chunk of forest, and it doesn’t pop up on any of my animal/bird identification apps.

I’ve never seen the animal (given that it’s dark) but it sounds like it’s up in the trees.

Location: Southeastern boundary of the Adirondacks, New York.

Time of night: 9-10pm.

Frequency of Calls: One single call, followed by ~10 seconds of silence.

Variation of Call: None. It’s the same call every single time, without variation.

I have a Tapo C125 camera live-streaming from behind a window, pointed out toward the Manhattan skyline.

At night, I keep seeing streaks of light rapidly dashing across the sky. They look very similar to meteors, but they happen far too frequently, sometimes about once every minute or so.

A few details:

• The camera is behind a window glass. 20th floor.
• Night mode is disabled; the camera stays in day mode.
• This happens repeatedly throughout the night.
• The streaks appear to move very quickly across the sky.
• I'm looking toward the Manhattan skyline.

Does anyone know what this could be? Is it some kind of camera artifact, reflection, insects?

Found this in a toolbox I bought and thought maybe it was for a guitar or an amp but we plugged it in and it doesn’t do anything. Not sure what I expected it to do honestly 😂 just can’t seem to find a use for it. Thanks community👍

Trying to figure out if I should keep them, but I have no idea what they are.

Recently bought a new home. The previous owner left a ton of beekeeping, as well as gardening supplies in the shed. I'm terrified of opening any of them, so I don’t know what they smell like.

I know its not a "what is", its a "when is it", but i have no idea where else to post this. Seller claimed they're both handmade and over a hundred years old. Managed to bring the cost for both down from $170usd ($42 for powder horn, $128 for medicine bag) down to $100 total. Are they really that old?

I bought a bag of spinach and most of the leaves have these little bumps on them. They don’t rub off and seem to be part of the leaf.

Hey yall, I was on one of the side beaches off of the Newport Cliff Walk the other day when I found this between the rocks. I’ve never seen anything like this, it feels not too heavy and what really puzzles me is the fibrous/crosshatch pattern. My guess is that it could be some kind of fiberglass? But I have no idea. Any ideas what this could be?
