1 minute mark is where it gets good. Sorry, I couldn't trim this one because the Youtube to mp4 exporter was being a bitch.

New to the group, so not sure if this has been posted, but I just found it. What's really great is the inclusion of NBC's campaign "Let's All Be There" and their 'Monday Night at the Movies' intro, all in 60fps. I remember those vividly. I've never seen these in such high quality before.

Record is the second largest television network in Brazil, and also the oldest still in operation, having been inaugurated on September 27, 1953. Since 1989 it has been owned by the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God, led by Edir Macedo, although the network tries to distance itself from religious content.

25 years ago Silent Hill 2 had perhaps the most advanced CGI scenes for a video game that year, almost on par with the scenes from another ethereal CGI masterpiece from earlier in that year...Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.
I have always seen the haunting aftermath of 9/11 mirrored in the story of SH2...perhaps because the game launched only two weeks later during that same Autumn.
Or perhaps its because of the grey fog contained in both planes of existence...one fictional and one real.

Opening sequence of the soap opera "A Indomada", broadcast by Globo between February 17 and October 10, 1997.
In short, the novel takes place in the fictional town of Greenville, marked by english customs and magical realism. The story revolves around Helena, who returns to the town years after the tragedy of her parents to reclaim the family's patrimony from her aunt, Maria Altiva. To save the family's sugar mill from bankruptcy, Altiva forces Helena to marry the wealthy Teobaldo, beginning a story of love and rivalry. Among the local mysteries is the mysterious Cadeirudo, who roamed the town swaying his hips and walking erratically, attacking his victims. The couple overcomes their differences to live their love, culminating in the unforgettable ending where the villain Altiva is consumed by fire and turns to smoke, vowing to return.
The opening sequence shows the challenges faced by the protagonist as she overcomes a rigid society with her resilience, proving to be an "indomitable" woman, as the title of the soap opera suggests.

Here we see a promo for The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest with an accompanying 90s rave track.
It was an ambitious project and it launched simultaneously on three of the biggest TV channels from the 1990s:
- TBS, TNT and Cartoon Network.
Alongside shows such as ReBoot and Transformers: Beast Wars...The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest was one of the first to pioneer extensive use of CGI in animated TV programming.

Mind-blowing. 60K polygons on an X-Wing and animated in 1978.

Just two weeks after 9/11 we saw the launch of one of the greatest works of horror ever conjured.
This was a follow-up to the legendary CGI featured in the first game of the franchise, Silent Hill (1999). The ethereal vibe of the first game was doubled for the second game in 2001.
Sometimes you dont know what emotion to make out of the character's faces or whether their vague expressions are deliberate or a real limitation of the technology of the time.
Silent Hill 2. 9/25/2001.
