I'm Nearer Home — Jimmy Swaggart and His Golden Gospel Piano (LP 105) ("I have sinned against you my lord!" Guy) (1980)s

Hey folks,

Today's rip is from the infamous multi-millionaire televangelist of the 1960s-80s. Jimmy here is best known for his, "I have sinned! I have sinned against you my lord, and I beg your forgiveness!" Breakdown on live television after being caught with a prostitute in 1988. That moment lead to a significant dip in his sales and popularity, but, wasn't enough of a deterrent, as he did the same exact thing again just 3 years later in 1991.

This is one of the many releases from his personal label, "Jim Records" (Yeah he was full of himself) which includes him playing piano, his sister playing the Hammond Organ, and, of course, his completely uncredited and unnamed "Jimmy Swaggart Singers".

The Ruff & Reddy Show - Hanna-Barbera's first animated series (1957)

This show's a precursor to Rocky & Bullwinkle in a lot of ways when I think about it: it's about two anthropomorphic animals, one savvy and the other dull-witted, and their multi-part serialized tales where they stumble into and out of a series of increasingly ridiculous situations. It has quite a lot of historical purpose and ran for quite a while: three seasons with 156 episodes between 1957 and 1960, yet it rarely, if ever gets acknowledged by Warner Bros. (no I'm not calling them Skydance and you cannot make me), and recordings of the episodes themselves are in noticeably worn, crappy condition.

I say it's a bit of a hidden gem of a series - go check it out on YouTube or the Internet Archive if you can

Forgo - Love Spirals Downwards (1991)

A music video created for the song Forgo by the dreampop band Love Spirals Downwards in 1991. A student film project at the San Fransisco State University School of Creative Arts. It's got all of the hallmarks of a student film lol

Love Spirals Downwards are one of my favorite bands to this day, but they've always been pretty obscure. They were signed to Projekt Records and were fairly popular in the goth scene in the '90s.

It disappeared from the web since Disney is super strict with stuff they own.

Taken from the Youtube upload from 10 years ago. This file was tweaked by myself to make the very low resolution and pixelated image a bit more watchable via softening the image to obscure the shimmering lines and other defects and inserting a layer of film grain over the image to further obscure the defects.

Don't expect pristine quality. View it as a fuzzy vhs capture and see material that's not in the released versions.
