I think the algos are all looking for air disasters because people have been reading about air disasters.

It’s also just becoming a more common issue in medical transport in recent years.

It has? I work in aviation and almost every year forward there are less and less crashes including part 135 L.

People love to fear monger over aviation these days.

I would say the algorithms love to fear monger. These algorithms know that fear like this gets clicks and engagement so they just keep ramping it up. Its unsustainable.

It’s perfectly sustainable. It puts people in smaller and more alarmed little bubbles they afraid to leave so they only engage with society online. Its worked like an absolute charm.

Hell, many of my coworkers are terrified to go into the city they live outside of for fear of instant death, rape and robbery by African immigrants despite all the data showing they’re going to be fine. They work alongside people who actually live in the city but they don’t hear anything but what their algorithm tells them. People don’t even trust the people they trust more than they trust what a company like Meta or Bytedance or whatever tells them.

Unsustainable? It’s working better and better every year. I’m curious to hear your perspective on how it’s going to crash or start being less effective or what have you.

Yep its sad because you got people like captain Steve posting theory videos online before the bodies are even cold.

Exactly. Especially when they try to play political. It’s actually insane that people spread bs when the NTSB literally publishes the information. EDIT I love when my phone autocorrects the ntsb to brave so Poole don’t understand what I mean

It's not fear mongering to say that emergency medical helicopter travel is not insignificantly more dangerous than general aviation travel, or even private helicopter use. They crash more.

This article is about a medical transport jet, not helicopter.

Ope! I thought I read heli in the title, nevermind. Medi jets have different stats entirely, obviously
