Niger may be a country, but it is still… suspicious that that was Apple "Intelligence"'s first choice given that "TITANIC" is already a complete name

What exactly is suspicious?

Explain your thoughts please

That either the ai is totally stupid or the training data and the learning algorithm taught the ai that a boat with the word titanic on it obviously should be a boat with the word titaniger. Their is a reason why ai chooses certain words.

It's pretty simple if you think about it instead of being the personification of 🤔

Yeah it's probably just the AI being stupid since it's a new technology that you're using for free and there's still some kinks to work out.

You should have seen the first cars. They went 2 miles an hour for about 6 mi before they just exploded and quit working. But the technology improved over time

I'm glad people like you weren't around back to me complaining about how stupid the cars were lol

Were cars called "superintelligent"? Were car companies worth trillions of dollars?

What a ridiculous analogy

The AI companies aren’t worth trillions, they just pretend to be

I agree that the intrinsic value isn't there, but the market value is, and that was more my point. Despite them not having a trillion dollar product, people have trillion dollar expectations for what they put out (at least, the people buying that Anthropic IPO do)

So yes? New technology isn't perfect and improve over time?

This tech isn't new, Adobe and Canva have had better versions of exactly this for years already

Just because something is years old doesn't mean it's still not a new technology.

Computers are a great example. Hell the first computers didn't even use electricity 🤣

The first computer companies weren't having 2T IPOs

Generative AI being compared to early cars and computers is a bad faith argument

Not sure what overinflated stock value has to do with anything

Tesla makes pieces of shit but is somehow worth more than every car company combined.

It means it's a terrible analogue, the industry and public perception is pushing AI much harder and faster than it pushed Ford or EMCC. It's perfectly valid to have higher expectations for the technology

It got a few letters wrong

My god

I'm not sure what AI models Apple is using but Apple has always been far behind the other tech companies in the AI race. You just need to follow the news to know that at this point AI is nearing the point of being capable of doing anything and everything while being totally indistinguishable from what humans could do. Whether it's all the hacking the frontier models are intentionally doing or all the tasks you can ask Google's free Gemini model to do right now, AI is here and humanity needs to deal with the consequences of it now.

Nice

Sounds like this technology will improve and be almost perfect soon

Thanks for agreeing with me. Apology accepted

He literally said that Apple is using a worse ai model. I don't know why you think tech companies using worse models means we are progressing. It's literally the opposite

The Apple model is t going to progress and get better?

Remember when their iPhone couldn't even send picture messages? Now it can?

Steve Jobs isn't going to hire you.

Apple sucks why would I want to work for them? Toxic culture internally

this shit is cringe as fuck dude, why do people do that?, pretend people are agreeing with you when clearly is not.

it's not a gotcha answer, you look dumb.

Don’t look at their other comments all across this post. They’re dumb indeed. Dunning Kruger in real time even.

I'm glad that you are alive now so that you can see people complain about "products" being shipped when they aren't working. We've come a long way from just accepting anything and having no standards.

Also since cars were invented in the kate 1800s, unless you are over 100 years old, I don't think even you saw the first cars so I seriously doubt you know what you are talking about even know

No product has ever shipped that's perfect

The first iPhone couldn't even send picture messages 🤣
