Fake id

• Upvotes

Hey this is random but I’m wondering where to get a fake ID from? I’m 16 and want to go to an 18+ gig in Melbourne but don’t want to get scammed obviously, so if you had a genuine fake ID that looked real and could tell me where you bought it that would be amazing!

Máquina Peligrosa's New Music Video is hilarious .

Máquina Peligrosa's music video for "Intro Venus" has landed and it's a visual treat!

Intro Venus is the story of 3 flies who travel into space in a converted sausage spaceship, and was made using miniatures, puppetry, green screen technique and handmade props. NO AI - just vision, collaboration & good old fashioned hard work.

Intro Venus is across streaming platforms and you can purchase the single on 7" vinyl via their Bandcamp page

Dubstep Scene Melbourne

Hi everyone,

Just wondering why the dubstep scene in Melbourne is nearly non existent?

I find a lot of dubstep artists go to Perth, Sydney, Brisbane etc but miss Melbourne. Also noticing more drum and bass artists starting to miss Melbourne.

I’ve spent 8 years managing artists. After seeing the same 3 massive problems destroy careers, I went on a side quest to build a solution.

Hey everyone,

For the last 8 years, I’ve been working in artist management and development. I love this industry, but behind the scenes, watching incredibly talented independent artists get burnt out by the current system has been soul-crushing.

No matter the genre or the size of the artist, we kept running into the exact same three walls:

  • We had zero idea who our actual fans were. Millions of streams on major platforms, but we couldn't get access to a single fan name or email address. You’re essentially renting your audience from the streaming giants.
  • The payout system is a joke. Waiting months for the lag between a stream and a payout - only to receive a fraction of a cent per play - makes it nearly impossible to sustain a living, let alone fund the next project.
  • Artists have no real “home” for their community. You’re forced to rely on social media algorithms just to talk to the people who want to hear from you.

I got so tired of trying to hack together workarounds that I decided to go on a massive side quest. I started developing a direct-to-fan platform called NEXERA.

The core philosophy is simple: Artists should be able to earn before they stream. I mean streaming isn't going anywhere.

NEXERA is designed to give you ownership of your fan data, cut out the ridiculous lag times with daily payouts, and finally provide a centralised home base where your community can actually connect with you (and financially support you) directly, without the algorithm getting in the way.

I’m currently at a turning point with the platform and I’m looking for two things:

Independent Artists: If you are tired of the streaming grind and want to try a direct-to-fan model, I would love to invite you to onboard. I want your brutal feedback so we can continue to build something that actually serves you.

Potential Partners: I’ve taken this side quest as far as I can on my own. If there is anyone out there (marketing, dev, operations, or just passionate about the music tech space) interested in partnering up to help grow this platform, my DMs are wide open.

Happy to answer any questions in the comments about the platform, the industry, or my journey building this so far.

TL;DR: Managed artists for 8 years, got fed up with streaming platforms withholding fan data and paying fractions of a cent months late. Built a direct-to-fan platform called NEXERA so artists can earn before they stream. Looking for indie artists to onboard and potential partners to help me grow it.

[Survey] Have you attended a Korean artist’s concert in Australia? (18+, ~5 min)

Hi everyone!

I’m a Master’s student in Culture and Arts Management, currently conducting research on audience experiences at Korean popular music concerts in Australia.

As more Korean artists perform in Australia, I’m interested in understanding the concert experience from the audience’s perspective — from first discovering a concert and searching for information, to buying tickets, attending the show, and the post-concert experience.

My research also compares these experiences with the perspectives of concert professionals, with the aim of identifying areas that could contribute to better audience experiences at future Korean music concerts in Australia.

I’m looking for participants who:

• Are aged 18+
• Attended at least one Korean artist’s concert in Australia between Jan 2022 and Jul 2026

K-pop, rock/band, hip-hop, R&B, indie, and other Korean popular music genres are all included.

⏱️ The survey takes approximately 5 minutes.

🔗 Survey:

If you’ve attended more than one eligible concert, please answer based on the most recent concert you attended.

Every response would be a huge help to my research. If you know anyone else who has attended a Korean artist’s concert in Australia, I’d also really appreciate it if you could share the survey with them.

Thank you so much for your time and help! 😊

I’ve got a VIP ticket for the Tame Impala show on 17 October. It's my first Tame Impala show and I’m absolutely buzzing. Been waiting for this moment for 12 years now.

Anyone else going VIP or heading to the show? Would be keen to meet up beforehand to have a chat and hang out on the line.

Also, I'm aiming to get barricade.

Is postering for gigs legal?

I know you can get a licence to do this, but it says it's like $100 per day and I highly doubt people are paying this. Do you just put up your posters and flee?

What happened to ‘TANG’ circa 2003/4

I saw this band one night and a city venue unknown and thought they were a hoot, received this EP and was hooked. Lost and found the disc many times over the years but obviously I still hold on to it for a reason and now that I’ve found it again I don’t have a CD player, how times have changed. Anyone know what happened to them?

So I perhaps foolishly bought tix for this gig in May 27 including extras hoping my ole Gen X mates or gen Z(?) 90s infatuated kids would be keen. Now I’m feeeling like a grey haired loner with delusions and way too much enthusiasm. Tell me I’m not alone… please 🙏 🙏 🙏 (over 50 and in denial)
