Not sure. All i know is all the Muslims in my town used the same scent and the racist white people and the ignorant white people HATED that stuff. They thought it smelled disgusting.

I was told some of it was that they used something similar to baby powder???

So it might not explicitly have been the musk.

ETA: whatever it was was definitely a distinctive smell. Not like a gross smell. But I can see why people who aren't used to that scent family would be thrown off by it.
