US-E [PC] 11x 8TB drives
Looking for fair prices for drives this old.
Pulled from my TrueNAS server during a capacity consolidation. Eleven drives have clean SMART data with zero grown defects and zero reported read/write/verify errors. The twelfth drive still passes SMART but has 192 grown defects and is being disclosed/priced separately.
**12x Seagate ST8000NM0065 8TB SAS**
- All 12 drives report **SMART Health Status: OK**
- 11 of 12 drives have **0 grown defects**
- 11 of 12 drives have **0 reported read/write/verify errors**
- Power-on hours are tightly grouped at approximately **58.2k–58.6k hours**
- Full SMART output available on request

### Additional Drive
One drive has a non-zero grown defect list. It still reports **SMART Health Status: OK**, but I'm disclosing it separately rather than representing it as equivalent to the other 11.

|---|---:|---:|---:|---:|---:|

I would consider the 12th drive a spare / discounted drive because of the SMART history.

I’ve been zeroing and SMART testing several SAS drives. I’ll likely list them tomorrow around $20-22/TB.

Flush with cash but going to be hard pressed to push $160 for 8TB 60k Drives

I was thinking $65/drive would be fair but came here for feedback.

That would sell most likely immediately as lot . Anything under $10/TB over 6 sells with 100K as long as no allocations.
We can’t help ourselves 🤣.

Turning this subs notifications on for the first time to try and catch some of these drives... like a dog with two tails waiting for this one 😂

This is a friendly reminder that this is a price check thread. OP is looking to figure out the best way to part out and/or price their doohickey for later sale.
This IS NOT a sale thread. Do not offer to buy. Asking that a sale thread is posted is ok.
OP: If you wish to sell your awesome box of moldy widgets or whatever to any unsuspecting fool who sends in an offer, you must first make a real "FS" sale post including an asking price and the username and timestamped image. It is not hard, everyone else can figure it out, and it is for the safety of the community.
Anyone found violating the rules is subject to a ban, so just don't do it. Ok? great, thanks.
