How is the new Fire Emblem?

I'm a big fan of the fire emblem games, but I will admit that I didn't like engage. I found the combat to be as engaging as ever, but the anime tropes and characters were really annoying. I liked 3H, though. My issues is that I heard the new one is heavily skewed towards the out of combat activities, particularly the social features. Is this true?

Not that good. The core Fire Emblem is AMAZING. The story is amazing. The JRPG gameplay is hell. Like you are spending the vast majority of your time just repeating the same couple chores or doing pointless side quests. And people will tell you oh just skip it. But if you do you are very weak/unprepared + miss out on A TON. If you love that sorta thing it could be for you, but the game does not respect the player's time AT ALL
