I mean I certainly don’t mind those kinds of stories but I understand the sentiment. I also really like it when you’re just a dude that happens to be in the right place at the right time and gets sucked into the plot because of it.

I want a game story where you're going to lunch, get pulled into some bullshit involving saving the world. And the entire time your character bitches "I just wanted a fucking sandwich dude ..." And after saving the world, you finally get your lunch.

Golden Sun too, sort of. Though your characters were born in a very geographically convenient location and the big bad kidnapped your parents as a plot device
