When I have someone actively passing me and I know that their lane is about to end and merge into mine, I don't speed up and try to block them from merging.
My driving would probably make for boring social media content though.
Cam drivers are always the most dramatic.

Half a second of my time isn't worth someone else being stuck at an entering lane because they had to stop.
