I also don't understand why the Cam rider cut out 11 seconds of video right as things got spicy before the "merge".

To feed his content stream maybe he backed off to get her to come over before pulling up again and creating the controversy?

Really just seems weird to delete and stitch together that crucial part of the scenario.

Agreed.  It's also not obvious from the video (at least to me, I could be wrong) she knew the lane was merging.  She's behind a truck so she can't see that far up.  She could be from a different area.

Not an excuse lol. If the truck is blocking your view of signage you're too close, and you can tell the lane is ending by the shorter, more tightly spaced lane markers. Under no circumstances do you just get to force people out of the way because you can't pay attention.

I wasn't trying to imy that, or I ply the lady is in the right. But as a good driver you should be aware of what other people may have to deal with, and that people will make bigger mistakes when they don't notice something. And someone reacting badly to a situation the may have missed is not a situation where you need to "teach them a lesson"

She was laughing and saying "I don't care." This person was fully in control of their actions, they were just being a dickhead. The lady easily could have eased off and merged behind the motorcycle (as she should have from the start).

She was, but the guy didn't know that at the time.

I'm not even sure what you're really arguing here. I'm aware the lady is shit. The driver is not a good driver because this situation is the easiest thing to avoid, and a good driver would avoid it

Then it's her responsibility to slow down and give more distance to the vehicles in front until she is sure.

Good lord people. I'm describing what the biker should understand about another driver if they were a good driver. You see what problems other drivers have, and you position yourself accordingly.

What the other lady should or should not have done has no bearing on my point. My point is how you have to anticipate what others may do, and that they don't always do things because they are being dicks. Sometimes they just suck

As a rider you absolutely need to take responsibility for your own safety and not let bad drivers crash into you. I agree with you there.

But from your comment it's unclear you were just pointing that out. Taken literally, as we can only do from a single text comment, I was just pointing out that your excuses for her behavior are not valid ones.

But from your comment it's unclear you were just pointing that out.

I do tend to do this kinda stuff. Especially when I comment on a few different things, sometimes the comment I originally made is lost, or it's a different one

Yea and it's just the problem with short text comments in general. Meaning can be easily lost.
