I mean, OK, but just back off a bit and live another day.

I ride a bike before anyone starts.

For me, you've just got to live with reality with living another day being higher priority than being correct.

That's a dumb and obvious aggressive driver take.

I'm not the police and I'm not risking my life or getting angry on the road just so I can do their job.

What control do we have over what other people do? How do we enforce it here without authority?

You wave down a person with authority (a police officer) and have them sort it.

For example, I just saw a video where a biker go almost got pushed out of his lane and then waved down a cop to show them the video. You should watch it.

How often is that a realistic option? This video required incredible timing and a lot of luck. You think you're being clever and witty, but you would be an idiot to expect this as a realistic option every time you encountered a bad driver on the road.

Yeah as far as traffic infractions go, someone going out of order in a zipper merge on a not-busy roadway at 10mph is just... so fucking low stakes, man. Getting into an argument about it and going off to tattle on them is such small-dicked behavior.

That’s funny, because I’d say quite the opposite. Letting a person who probably shouldn’t be on the road bully you and then being afraid to report them and referring to it as “tattling” sounds more like small dick mentality to me. Are you afraid of retaliation? Should behavior like that just be ignored so she instead actually runs the next person off the road?

Is lady in the car in the wrong? Yes. But biker is a dick head too. He'd rather be a smear on the pavement and right than get on with his day safely and be wrong.

She’ll surely stop almost killing people if we ignore her behavior.

She won't stop being a danger with that ticket.

1

u/stacecom 8h ago

And she will without?

Of course not.

I never said or implied it.

She'd also not stop being a danger if we blew up a tree with dynamite.

Or if a nuclear missile hit her.

And yet, the method in this video actually is applicable.

If a nuclear missile hit her she absolutely would stop being a danger.
