Cringe Level 5 Aztek Death Whistle
“That’s harassment”
116
u/Top_Watercress6885 14h ago
Why has it become a trend to just be obnoxious to strangers? Especially when they are working customer service positions? It’s gross behavior..
15
u/TheWorldArmada 14h ago
It used to be kids only doing stuff like this, crazy to see full grown adults doing it now
→ More replies (3)8
u/Rhinocacrocapig 13h ago
it's the same kids, they never actually matured
1
u/TheWorldArmada 11h ago
Not necessarily. I used to do stupid shit like this with my friends all the time when I was 12, we don’t do this shit anymore. We grew up. I think it’s more that these people are starved for attention, and think recording themselves doing this shit is gonna get them followers/views — which unfortunately some of these people do.
1
u/Rhinocacrocapig 11h ago
What I meant was that these adults doing stuff like this, would have been doing this as kids too, you grew out of it, they didn't

I have an incredibly simple 2 word solution.
Demonetize clicks.
1
u/Whoa1Whoa1 9h ago
Other two word solutions:
- Jail Time
- Community Service
- Death Penalty
- Forced Emigration
But honestly, anyone fucking with people like this should be forced to do 2 years of community service where everyday all they do is clean toilets, mop floors, run soup kitchens, take out garbage, work in recycling centers, clean up beaches, etc.
Especially with them recording the incident AND posting it online - both of those actions require premeditation, hatred, or general lack of care for others.
8
u/Intrepid_Plenty_3770 14h ago
Tell that to the first amendment auditors too.
4
u/ImpluseThrowAway 14h ago
The Who?

Idiots standing around with cameras, recording in public waiting for people to confront them for content. Google is no one's friend.
4
u/Fit-Campaign1243 14h ago
Because they know those people working - are in no position to do anything back to them.
Same as the people attacking the UK pensioners, demanding their pensions be cut to a fraction of what they are now. I guess next it will be the disabled. Then after that the children.
Today's generation truly sicken me.
2
u/Separate_Job_9587 14h ago
Because people keep consuming it. For every person who finds this kind of content stupid, there are god knows how many others who find it entertaining and funny.

"Has become"? You're probably too young to remember the prank era, roughly 2006-2016. It was fun and glorious when it started out, and quite a long time after that. In later years, it got increasingly exaggerated and fake just for views, anyone who remembers all the "in the hood" bs - I'm sorry for reminding about that.
Then it all died down altogether. Seems now it's partly back, but in any case, nowhere near to what it once was.→ More replies (17)

u/Red8937 14h ago
For a prank that hinges on sound it seems really fuckin 2026 to put sound effects over said sound
2
u/picofemto 13h ago
It really test my patience when videos have those annoying tiktok sound effects.
1
u/Spare-Plum 12h ago
yeah every 3 seconds there's a "get out!!" or "fuhhh!" or "BOOM"
shit is like genuinely annoying

u/Admirable_Sun7567 14h ago

these people really don’t realize how harmful this shit can be. I have hearing aids and if I were in the room, it would’ve fucked me up for days.

Also the food workers could be holding something really hot and burn themselves.
14
u/MDeimos 14h ago
This type of humor is so outdated. People like this are still living in 2011.

u/KeepItDownOverHere 14h ago
I remember my cousin used to have a button operated fart machine he would put in his back pocket and set it off when her walked by people at the mall. We found it somewhat amusing. We were 14 in the late 90's.
4
u/sittinwithkitten 13h ago
A little fart machine is way funnier. I think my heart would stop if someone “pranked” me with a death whistle.

u/Winter_Tone_4343 14h ago
I hate scare pranks. My first reaction to being scared is anger. Screw this person.

These whistle things rate at 125 db. That is louder than the 400 watt RMS, 1000 watt max custom stereo box I built , which maxed out at 117 db. It is really REALLY loud, certainly causing pain and possibly even perminent damage if close enough to your ear. This is legally an assult charge. Do not do this.
→ More replies (3)1
u/animorphsrewriter 11h ago
I've used one of these before for performances. A good one is not any louder than a typical sports whistle (90-100db), and the shitty 3D printed Amazon ones are disappointingly quiet. No point in being hyperbolic about it.
Also, not defending the asshole in the video. He should honestly face public nuisance or disturbances charges for this kind of harassment. But he's not giving anyone hearing damage.
5
u/DreadfulDrea 14h ago
OP is the same asshole who posted the other videos of people getting harassed working at drive thrus and shit.
1
u/RabbiTheHellcat 14h ago
is he dude from the actual video or just a guy reposting someone else's content?

u/JellyRollMort 14h ago
If you're doing this to random service workers you should be executed.
1
u/Arvandor 14h ago
This should be considered assault and punching them in the nose considered self defense.
3
4
u/No-left-toes 14h ago
Yeah do that with someone whose got a heart condition and fucking kill them, loser

u/Any-Morning4303 14h ago

Take that whistle and shove it up this guys ass deep and laugh at him.

Those things are like 120db, basically an up close ambulance siren. Could fuck up people’s hearing, this guy is asking to get tuned up.
2
u/strings_bells 14h ago
Especially that kind of loud noice gets amplified in close spaces. Can seriously damage people's hearing. Can cause other heart issues as well. This is crime and public harassment.

u/RealDetroitDiddler 14h ago

Look, if you want to be murdered, just ask politely, we will oblige you. There are many countries where you can do it legally. You don't need to ragebait the general public.

u/BipedalHorseArt 14h ago
On the bright side, if I'm ever walking in the city and someone starts trying to rob me, this would really work great
2
u/Optimal-Rub-8808 14h ago
If I were a scout leader I would need this and an accomplice for camp fires.
2
u/Stunning_Ad_5960 14h ago
So it’s tik tok. Should we be filming these pranks too, i mean ig iz’s a new trend then it’s obligatory. /s

I hate people who do this and they deserve whatever fate has in store for them.

I heard wind that sounded exactly like this the other day
3
u/MarchCompetitive6235 14h ago
I left an upstairs bathroom window slightly open and on a windy day it would make that noise.
I came home to two wide eyed, terrified cats sitting at the bottom of the stairs. Looking at me like “Don’t fucking go up there man!!!”

Brian Cal did that shit on Joe Rogan‘s podcast an early 2019 I think shit been the same since
Edit: actually it was in January 2020 so Covid was already thing but America wasn’t completely fucked yet. But it isn’t interesting theory ever since Brian Callen blew that fucking Aztec death whistle, Joe Rogan hasn’t shut the fuck up about Covid.

When I worked in manufacturing it was a code of conduct violation to even talk to someone that was working with machinery. And you definitely wouldn’t jump scare someone that had their back to you. Whatever I had in my hand, or near me, would’ve got chucked at you. These types always end up fucking with the wrong person.

There are definitely situations where this is funny and I would definitely laugh under some context if It happened to me but this guy needs to read the room. To many scaring random women and let's face if smaller feminine males but not one time in a situation that could have had actual consequences.

u/nicaknight 11h ago
Its dangerous to be doing that, you never know when you going to piss off the wrong person my dude, that guy who just needs a little push to go on a rampage

To make this worse (for those who don't know), death whistles are incredibly loud. It does sound like someone shrieking at full volume.

All things aside this is really interesting. That scream is really primal and tickles a part of our brains that where if you dont immediately get kicked into flight or fight youre likely dead.
Still, asshole.
1
u/jayslay45 14h ago
I remember in a YouTube video demonstrating how the death whistle worked, the creator commented on imagining hearing several of those whistles simultaneously, in combat as the adversary. Pure terror. And agreed — still asshole behavior by this "prankster".

u/Iconshero 12h ago
Fear of sounds is pretty incredible. I was watching a revolutionary war (US) reenactment battle in a history class years ago and asked the teacher why they didn’t have archers still during this period since they weren’t wearing armor. He tried to explain the sound of musket and canon fire in battles but ended up inviting anyone who wanted to go to a reenactment at the end of the month and a bunch of us went. The sound 100-200 black powder muskets and cannons going off constantly is terrifying. I go to the range and shoot modern firearms and they don’t make me flinch as nearly as much as the raw sound musket fire did.
Also fuck this dude, my someone blow that every times hes drifting off to sleep
