She came to us 18 years ago when she was just 5 weeks old. Far, far too young to be away from her mother, and certainly too young to be gently stuffed in hubby’s motorcycle vest, along with her furry little pouch blanket, for the 4 block ride to my friend’s home where I was visiting. He walked in the front door and handed me this adorable little baby, her eyes still newborn blue. “Here” he said as he handed her to me. “I had to pick her up today, because they’re being evicted and moving hundreds of miles away tomorrow,” I had no idea he’d been planning on getting a puppy, but suddenly, here she was, the cutest little puppy I’ve ever seen.

She’s been the princess of our home ever since. Though she’s slowly losing her sight and hearing, and she doesn’t play with her MANY toys much anymore, (that does NOT mean that you, or worse, another dog, can touch them!) She still runs up the stairs and jumps around for bbq & greasy bags DoorDash leaves on the porch.

We love you little Princess Gigi. ❤️ We’ve been blessed having you as part of our family.

Seven days after the passing of our fifteen year old cat, Peppermint, our sweet nine year old Buster has left us to join her. He was battling a banging tooth infection that wasn't improving. After a few visits to the vet, his blood works revealed that he was weak with leukemia.

I don't know what we did in our pasts to deserve losing both pets in a week, but it hurts like hell. Such a quiet, empty home.

Candy a female chihuahua , female , 15 years old, had coughing for 3-5 weeks , weighs 3.9 kg, never had severe clinical problems or respiratory issues, could walk on her own, eat, play and drink at 15, never had any issues. we took her to the vet last week and they didn’t echo her heart and assumed coughing was not from there and was from lungs and gave her ASBRIP and VIBRAVET 100 paste, she didn’t get any better coughing tone changed, yesterday she suddenly started panting very fast and rushed her to the vet and main doctor was not there and they said she needs to be in the oxygen room because her tongue has turned purple and stay there until few hours and doctor comes, we go back after and doctor said she needs to be monitor and stay here, we returned home and they gave us a call that she has passed away

My 6 year old Chihuahua has chronic pancreatitis I was wondering if anyone has any advice or has dealt with this issue as well as what to feed like treats and how much, also are egg yolks really high in fat? I appreciate any advice thank you. I know you have to try and stay under the 10% threshold of crude fat so it’s really a challenge especially with my picky eater !!

From a 1lb little peanut to a 7lb little girl…she’s my spunky, sparky, feisty, funny, insanely intelligent, adorably sweet little bestie.❤️My shadow, my Velcro pup and I don’t know what I’d do without her. We’ve been on many adventures in this first year and she’s been with me through some incredibly tough times…I’d be lost without her, truly. She’s my soul dog and the most loving, precious soul. My long her chihuahua is 5Kg m, she user to be 3.6 before getting neutered and she’s gain so much weight after and now she eats less! How’s that possible? I think she looks okay she just has a lot of hair but my husband is worried. You can feel her ribs (not easily and only under her body by the belly not on the top/back). I am starting to think she is a Pomchi!
