Rule 5 rewritten for simplification: No posts about other users, subreddits, or social media drama
Because we got some rules lawyers in here about how their post was technically not about another subreddit or was technically not about a YouTuber, we've reworded Rule 5 to be more accurate to its intended purpose.
Rule 5: No posts about other users, subreddits, or social media drama
Do not post about other users or subreddits. Do not complain that your submission was removed from another subreddit. Do not post YouTuber or social media drama.
All posts violating Rule 5 will be removed. Any posts violating this rule that constitute harassment will also get reported to the Reddit administrators.
Thank you for your understanding.

Just replayed Pikmin 1 and 2 for the first time in over 20 years. I'm astounded at how incredible they still are!
Absolutely fantastic games! I played the Switch versions and couldn't put them down. I cleared 100% on both of them.
Pikmin 1: The whole time I was playing I couldn't stop thinking about how truly unique the game was for its time and it really still is a totally unique experience. It's such a cool spin on the RTS formula. The music and environments are excellent. I love the feeling the game gives off of being a stranger in a strange land, exploring the unknown and surviving day-to-day. The 30-day limit really didn't feel pressuring since it's a generous amount of time to get things done. I personally think this game is a must-play for anyone remotely interested.
Pikmin 2: My favorite of the two even though I wish the overworld didn't retread a lot of the same ground as the first game. Otherwise, 2 improved upon 1 in just about every way. I loved the refocus on cave dungeon-crawling, but still having lots to do in the overworld. It was more difficult than the first game, but the improved Pikmin AI makes a huge difference in combat. Overall, aside from a few late-game caves I definitely didn't find it to be very difficult, yet thoroughly enjoyable. I think the fact that there wasn't a total day limit served this game well. I'd definitely recommend it after playing the first game, just to appreciate how much has changed.
I'm starting Pikmin 3 Deluxe later today. Can't wait!
Which of the games are your favorite and why?

Art Day 2 of posting Kid Icarus fan art until Nintendo makes a sequel
Hopefully the start of a series? IDK we'll see
Artist: Joolie(u/LunarJaquar)
Name: Madonna Palutena
Artist's Commentary: I’ve been holding onto this piece for a long time now. The original sketch (featured on the last slide) was done traditionally a little over 2 months ago. I had sketched it while I was at work, just after finishing “I Don’t Feel Like Myself,” the final part to the Chaos Kin comics. I figured after putting these characters through so much torment, they deserved rest. I took my time making this piece, sketching it without any expectations. All of my feelings of exhaustion, relief, and peace are infused in it. In a way, I felt like I was allowing myself to rest alongside these characters. All that to say, this piece means a lot to me.
some intentional imagery I was trying to evoke is the renaissance depictions of the Virgin Mary and infant Jesus. Iconic Madonna and Child paintings, hence the name of this piece. While not 1:1 with any particular Madonna paintings, I hope that allusion was clear enough in the composition.

Image How would you feel if this was the retro track selection of the next Mario Kart?
Yes, I know, way too early to start discussing new Mario Karts, but this was just a fun thing I cooked up because I was bored.
Thoughts?

Image Mario Tennis Fever is the most influential game of the Switch 2 generation.
It's very likely that this game failing is what caused Nintendo to start lowering the prices of some of their games. Games Like Yoshi, Star Fox, and Ocarina of Time would be full price if this game didn't flop as hard as it did.

Had a laugh when I saw Mario's pizza, couldn't believe it when I looked across the street.

Why did Miyamoto say this? Is he stupid?
this guy made a game where billionaires in the distant future create death racing because they're bored, and the main character is a bounty hunter and the reincarnation of actual light from the big bang. Is Nintendo lazy?
