Belgium is full of people building cool things — apps, art, music, research, businesses, videos, tools, and ideas.
Most of it never reaches the front page of r/belgium because of Rule 8.
So every Sunday, this thread becomes our creative marketplace.
A place to show what you’re making, get feedback, find collaborators, or simply inspire others.
Share your project. Cheer for someone else’s. Let’s make this a weekly tradition worth keeping.

I bought a house in Belgium a couple of months ago. Since taking ownership, I've discovered a chronic water problem in the cellar that wasn't disclosed before the sale. It started as what looked like an undisclosed groundwater collection pit/pump, but a specialist who recently inspected it now believes more than half of the water is actually sewage, suggesting a leak in a sewage pipe rather than (or in addition to) groundwater. I'm currently arranging a camera/leak-detection inspection to confirm the exact source, and I've already notified my property insurer.
I'm now trying to figure out whether this is worth pursuing as a hidden defect (vice caché) claim against the seller, and I realize the notaire who handled the sale isn't really the right person to represent my interests here — their role was to make sure the transaction itself was legally sound, not to advocate for me in a post-sale dispute.
A few things I'd appreciate advice on:
Any pointers, personal experiences, or lawyer recommendations (DM is fine too) would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Very specific, I know.
I tried searching it up but I always reached a dead end.
Hopefully there’s someone in this sub that can help from experience.

idk if this is a good place to post or ask about this but from other peoples experience or knowledge, do think it's ever viable or realistic for belgium to move back to a more unitary system or at least one with a stronger federal government?
i kinda see federalisation as the opening of a pandoras box and especially to me or us, the generation born after federalisation it feels very hard to imagine a belgium before or even a return to.

I live in the mechelen area. Also I don't have a car but I do have an e-bike.
I already have applied to CAW, Rode Kruis, Natuurpunt and a bunch of other non profits. I even did the fire station, but no luck. I really want to work somewhere that involves helping Nature/Animals/Humans. That can be either direct or indirect. But I have no luck finding something for a student. Most places use volunteers and I would volunteer too but I kind of need the money.
Do you guys know any places, where I perhaps could work?
I already tried alot of things but I figured asking all of you could help.
Also I am open to working remotly.
Thank you!

This crazy border separates belgium and the Netherlands. It runs over 450km long and is split by houses and buildings like this one.
