I visited Armenia recently, and I asked why there were no priests at most of the churches we went to. My relative told me that it's because there is a priest shortage from the Soviet times.
I want to know what you guys think and if this could be an explanation for why church attendance is low (according to the data) since you can't really go to church if there aren't any priests / clergy there.

Hi everyone, I've just created a website called Better.am where you can find smartphones, accessories, notebooks, and other electronics in Armenia.
You can compare prices and specifications, as every price is listed in one place.
Please share your feedback. Thank you!

Looking for a speech coach in Yerevan
I’m looking for a 1:1 speech/communication coach to help me improve my tone, diction, pronunciation, intonation and overall speaking style — basically to sound more articulate, pleasant and confident.
Not looking for an English course specifically; Armenian is fine too.
Any personal recommendations? 🙏

Hello everyone, ever since visiting Armenia I‘ve fallen in love with this cheese and whenever I visit or someone bold enough to trick EU customs visits Armenia, I get to endulge. Of course after eating a whole pack you want to drink lake Sevan empty or at least a 5 Liter bottle of Byuregh. But anyways, I got it at SAS usually and now I‘m wondering whether there are better places to get my drug. I like the kind without peppers etc. just crumbly cheese with herbs. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

hello, everyone. I'm so sorry if this is not the kind of question people ask here.
how do I properly order something from aliexpress to armenia? my friend just recently moved there and I want to buy them a gift. however, I'm not exactly sure how to do it. will they deliver the package to his door? or will they need to go to a nearby post office? will he need to show his id to receive the package from the post office? if this is important, the package is pretty small.

Used gemini to generate subtitles for the video and then used ffmpeg to hard code it in the video. Can someone please verify the veracity of the subtitles and confirm if its in the ballpark if not 100% accurate.
Thanks.

So let me add context. Im an Armenian myself, and I've always wondered this about my history. Armenian people are an ethnic group native to the Armenian highlands of Western Asia our genetics are similar to Assyrian peoples. yet we speak an Indo-European language. Indo-European languages all derived from one single language. Proto Indo-European. which is heavily thought and backed with evidence to be originated from the Pontic-Caspian steppe which is located in the mountainous regions of Russia and partly Ukraine. and it is factual that all members that speak an Indo-European language are descendants of these peoples. My confusion is why do we speak a language from that language family, if our people were indigenous and native to Anatolia and West Asia? Proto Indo-European people had to branch out to parts of Europe and Asia from that steppe in Russia. so my concern is, are we actually not native to Armenians highlands or did we in fact speak a different language before the Armenian language we know today? because it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense. my theory is ancient Armenians had spoken Urartian (which Is a member of the Hurro-Urartian language family) before the Proto Indo-European people had migrated to Armenian highlands and then the two languages intertwined. because as I said it just isn't possible for our people to have spoken an Indo-European language while being native too and indigenous to that mountain region is Western Asia. I know this is a lot but I've been so curious about this. perhaps we really did speak a language entirely different from the Indo-European languages. or perhaps not. either way id love to here what your opinions are. Bottom line is, it's fascinating to believe that our people possibly could have spoken an entirely separate language that is not related to any other language family and is unforutanetly extinct now today.

Hi! Does anyone know if there any transfer companies in Yerevan that do shared transport to Mount Aragat / other places? Just to make things a bit cheaper. Thank you!

Where in Yerevan can I buy the Remington Pro-Ceramic Extra S5525 hair straightener?
I need three male actors who speak English.
One actor will play the protagonist, the main character of the movie.
The other two actors will appear in minor scenes with smaller roles. One could play a homeless man, and the other could play a police officer.

Bari Yereko, fellow hayrenakitsner,
I am reconsidering repatriating to Armenia after completing my studies in Slovakia, and I will likely do so unless Robert Fico loses next year's parliamentary election.
As I have studied International Relations (IR) and took part in several NGO internships here, I am aiming to work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Armenia or in the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs. My goal is to strengthen ties between Armenia and Central European countries, especially since Armenia is heading towards the European Union in the long term. Moreover, I have working experience in an NGO related to strengthening Slovakia's and Europe's position in their neighborhood.
Earlier, I had the chance to be a Diaspora Youth Ambassador to Slovakia, but I refused the opportunity. This was because the only person from the diaspora leadership I knew in Slovakia at that time was a pro-Russian and pro-Kocharyan actor who is considered to be a Russian asset Later, I applied for an internship at Armenia's embassy here, but it is still not clear whether I was accepted or not, so I am not focusing on it at all.
If there is anybody who has ever worked in these bodies or anywhere else in public administration, I have the following questions:
Thank you in advance for your responses.

Hello, what are the most convenient and affordable ways to send money to relatives in Yerevan besides the Armenian money exchange businesses?
An Algerian father passed away while asleep and help might be needed for paperwork to repatriate his body.

My partner and I are planing a trip for New Year’s Eve and I was suggesting going to Armenia.
The length of our stay could be either 9 days or 13 days starting after European Christmas and ending either 5 of January or the weekend after.
For that I have several questions. What do you in general think about visiting this lovely country in the winter? Would you rather go in the summer and search now for a different place to go and choose a different time to year to come to Armenia?
We both like also winter and do a lot of skiing in Europe. Also for new years and in general we are open for partying and would love to have a great party on new years and also in general apre ski if that exists in the mountains.
How could a travel itinerary look like?
I was thinking about: First after arrival spending two days in Yerevan then go for New Year’s Eve for 4 days to the mountains for skiing and New Year’s Eve (which place would you recommend here? Tsaghkadzor / Mylers? Is there any decent apre ski?)
After that we would spent the rest of the timing with a rental exploring the rest of the country.
Any suggestions for us? :)
