Initial reaction: "Oh boy, another random guide video. Let's see how much misinformation is in here. I should make a bingo card."

Reaction 1 minute in: "Oh, it's the Pumpkin dev. Nevermind, we good."

Pretty neat work! Poking around the code some as I do a lot of Rust development and was always curious about it in other areas like this. I do a of protocol work for industrial systems and networking related stuff with Rust!

the bingo card idea is unironically great for like 90% of these videos though

Someone in the comments of that video also asked that and there were some good replies. Basically it's not possible, because mods and mod loaders hook directly into the source code of Minecraft and change it, obviously that doesn't work, when the source code is different then default java (or even when it was, the code base is entirely different then the official source code, so all the hooks and mappings are completely different).

Nobody cares but you should on a technical level consider removing that is=* youtube trackinator 9000 ™️ from the end of your youtube link.

At the start of that video, where you flew into the void™️ but you could still see the outline of the block that was supposed to be there? That bug has pissed me off for so many years now. Like if it knows what block is supposed to be where why not DRAW it. Probably some kind of hang in the pipeline but omg it's annoying. It has been around since the earlier multiplayer days if I'm remembering correctly.

Pumpkin being able to start up in 4ms should be award worthy.

I wonder if some of the big servers out there with 500+ players concurrently might consider this soon for handling their loads
