Dylan Larkin Booed on Opening Night

Context: Dylan Larkin was the captain of the Detroit Red Wings and requested a trade, while having a no-trade clause, and originally limited the team to 3 options to where he would agree to be traded to. He has since been stripped of the captaincy and has largely turned the entire fanbase against him. Had he not made such an unreasonable request for a trade, he would likely have not faced such harsh backlash.

Embarrassing from the team to trot him out there like that. If I’m a free agent considering Detroit I’m remembering this

The team is embarrassing themselves plenty but this isn’t one of the moments. Don’t just repeat talking points you hear on TV. They introduce every roster player, injured/scratched/whatever, each opening night. Prob a bot anyway
