I don't think there has ever been any single time in history where men were seriously persecuted by women.

feeling persecuted

Feeling persecuted and being persecuted are two very different things

Agree. It is similar to how women seem to feel more scared when walking around on their own. Statistically they are much safer than men. Multiple times less likely to be murdered by a stranger when out. That it isn't how they feel.

I think it is explained somewhat by how many men think they could land a plane or fight a wolf or bear. And by fearmongering by all sorts of groups on the dangers of just walking around your city.

Yea I think the problem is that when men are persecuted, they just assume that it's by women. The whole men's rights movement is essentially complaining about patriarchy but blaming it on women

Reminds me of the men who bitch and gripe about the "male loneliness epidemic" when the majority of them 1) don't functionally do anything to make themselves less lonely and 2) tend to blame the problem almost exclusively on women. Turns out, women don't tend to want to date men when they have to be a stand-in for their mommy, maid, and nanny and the man doesn't see anything wrong with the way he currently lives, not even getting into the topic of how "loneliness" to far too many people us primarily defined by romantic relationships and neglects anything to do with platonic friendships.

You have to have power to persecute someone. Women have never been in the position of power.

Tell that to Emmett Till.

That wasn't a case of women having power over men. It was a case of white people having power over black people, and I think you know that.

lol pretending women haven’t been and aren’t actively being oppressed (you fuckers are taking our rights to our bodies away) won’t change the fact that we live in a patriarchal society where men made all the rules and their reputations are more important than women’s lives. Fuck off with that shit.

They literally don't stop to think if we actually were persecuting them they wouldn't be able to post their bullshit in the comment sections in the first place.

How about children? Thats the fair power dynamic comparison.

There were matriarchal societies where men were subservient, but they fell apart pretty quickly and usually got invaded by the surrounding patriarchal societies.

Minoan Crete — c. 3000–1450 BCE
Ancient Celtic societies
Scythian/Sarmatian societies
Minoans → Mycenaeans

Last one was cleanest shit, it fell so bad. It was essentially a female-centered society, but it got replaced over the decades as the opposite gender rose to more and more power, and internal friction was also one of the main causes.
