Lmao at all the men in the comments downvoting 🤡

u/RevengeofPootietang 3d ago

I mean, can you blame them?

The message itself has always been called out for repeatedly needing an explanation for people to realise they’re actually in support of it.

If the phrase constantly produces this level of misunderstanding, maybe the message needs to be tuned or changed so people can immediately understand what it’s trying to say instead of producing another gender war in the comments that helps no one and takes away from the underlying message.

All men suck! All men suck! All men suck!

No not you Jeremy you're great why would you think people dislike you? We specifically meant not you obviously

16

u/SemiAutoAvocado 3d ago

"Oh no, you're one of the good ones"

Now go say that to a person of color.

6

u/ManyPen6614 2d ago

KAM, KAM, KAM!

Well not all men obviously. I'm talking about the abusers, the rapists, those who harm women. No not you Timmy. Why are you even upset, if you aren't one of the men I'm even talking about.

2

u/Significant-Bar674 2d ago

This shit harms protecting women. The terms are obvious and known at face value. You can't say "all x are y, but some of the x aren't who we're talking about"

It's a contradiction in terms that provides ammunition to men who want to play "more aggrieved and more logical". They'll take a screenshot and talk amongst themselves about the other side dealing in absolutes and insulting innocent men.

So many people who label themselves as progressives have the worst fucking messaging and are so far up on their high horse they absolutely refuse to accept any other point of view. I'm a progressive but its constantly this same stupid shit. Overcorrecting trying to do the "right" thing while actively harming the cause they claim to support. Literally just instilling to young men they are viewed as predators because of their genders. Women absolutely have it more difficult than men, but its not a competition, and I'm so tired of self righteous dickheads who just want to yell about how they're right and you're a scumbag piece of shit if you disagree when they dont give a fuck about making the world better. they just want to act morally superior without putting in any work or effort to change anything.

I’ve been on the planet too long and imo, I’ve never seen so many men enter the conversation until this dumbed down phrase “it’s all men” arrived.

The vast majority seem to be entering the conversation to make it all about themselves. How it’s “offensive towards men”.

But, a portion are staying on the topic long enough to clue in. More and more are using their platform to promote it. Which is bringing in more men.

I have never seen this many men and boys join in. So, the short term “divide” with what they perceive as offensive language, is what will end up making some of these men stew with it long enough to finally let it sink in.

Men would keep ignoring it if they thought it was just about violence against women and girls. I think it’s been working out quite brilliantly. Definitely a big dramatic divide, but many more men are clueing in for sure! There will always be bad ones. But with all the good ones on the topic helping out, women and girls will at least have more allies than when these guys stayed silent or unaware of the topic.

I hope you’re right.

Message is a message. Sometimes the message accurately reflects reality. If simple truths are that bothersome, that just indicates mental immaturity on the homo “sapiens” ginormous ego.

u/LilyCat23 3d ago

Yep, there's a lot of fragile egos here!

well whatever you do, never ever bring up that men can get sexually assaulted (including by women). that gets them REALLY angry.

Why do you men always—without a doubt—bring up mens suffering in response to women's? Is it some sort of power imbalance you feel? Or do you think that we are just unaware that sexual assault and rape happens to men to and can also be the result of a woman? No, you don't think we're that stupid. We all did see Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein act together. You think we are just stupid enough that you think we can't see what you're doing when you do this. Clear as day whataboutism, using sad and traumatic statistics to one up other sad and traumatic statistics all for.. what? To downplay women's suffering? To soothe your ego? To put responsibility elsewhere? Its wholly unclear.

0

u/gone_smell_blind 3d ago

I'd imagine its because people are saying all men are rapists... just a guess though. That statement probably makes a lot of people, who are in fact not rapists, to get a little defensive

u/ChaoCobo 3d ago

Did you watch the video at all? Like did you not watch the video we are currently commenting on? The video explains what women mean when they say All Men. Watch the video and then reply to me when you’ve seen it to the end please. I’d like to know your opinion.

It’s not that they get angry at that, they get angry when you guys bring it up during a conversation about women being sexually assaulted. For example, if women are talking about how they get sexually assaulted or they’re talking about the men who do it, there’s always at least one guy who is like “oh yeah? We get assaulted too ya know” and it’s like, time and place dude. They care that men are abused but you shouldn’t bring it up in a conversation that isn’t about that in a way that tries to detract from what women go through.

Yes, and it’s dangerous. Death by fragile male ego or to prop it up is definitely a thing. I think most people just don’t realize that a great many femicides can be directly attributed just to a man’s ego being the core motivational factor.

Whether it’s a total stranger turning his advances down so he kills her, the mistress, girlfriend or wife becomes pregnant and he can’t have that become public knowledge, the family annihilators, husband wants a new life, the serial killers or the thrill killers who hunt and target exclusively women to feel powerful. The rapists and their sexual motivated murders. The stranger stalker who becomes obsessed, sometimes everyone in the house gets murdered too. The collectors who keep them confined and captive for years chained in basements, wood boxes under the bed, or secret bunkers at the cabin and they finally wear out and die from years of abuse and torture. Those are all true case examples btw. The abuser who after years finally “goes too far” and killed her, or the ones that flip out kill when she finally decides to leave him. The man who discovered his wife is cheating and murders her about it instead of just filling for divorce. The mommy issues murders, sons who finally snap and kill their mother and hell, sometimes the entire family. Sometimes to stall or cover up other crime they’ve been up to. Just this past week as seen on court TV, he’s cheating, has a mistress who’s pushing him into killing his wife so they can be together instead of just filling for divorce like a normal person. Because divorce would make him look bad and he can’t have that, do he does it. Blames random intruder. I can literally pull up at minimum, two cases for each of the scenarios listed above just off the top of my head. Some cases with same circumstances I can come up with dozens.

Maybe the men in the comment section crying “not all men” are blissfully unaware of the horrors endured by women from men?
Or they just like ego driven killers Mark Dorch, Dennis Rader, Scott Peterson, Travis Decker, Chris Watts, Grant Amato, Brendan Banfield, Leonard Lake, Gary Heidnik, Ted Bundy, Brian Walshe, Frank Byers, Nicholas Hubbard, Jole Guy Jr, Alex Murdaugh, and most recently Caleb Flynn, they just can’t handle having people think less of them then the need to be seen as.

-2

u/Dazzling-Bit3268 3d ago

As a man, it makes me sad at how fragile the male ego is...

4

u/gw3il0 3d ago

It's not all men downvoting!

1

u/sigh_co_matic 3d ago

It's basically what I expected. Just let them keep telling on themselves. It's a great litmus test.

12

u/Sharpiette 3d ago

telling on themselves.

What you're implying? Rapist? That's the problem. Y'all don't want to change minds, you want conflict and adversity. Go for it, but don't act like it's "so hard for men to understand" when that's your strategy.

u/Pixeltoir 3d ago

u/zedinbed 3d ago

"If you don't hate men by default you are a bad person"

30

u/LilyCat23 3d ago

If that's what you took away from this video then I don't know what to tell you. This is an incredibly bad faith reading of someone trying to explain a known systemic problem.

-16

u/zedinbed 3d ago

You realise this is the type of logic that people use when they want to justify being racist. If you don't see the problem here it's on you

-1

u/Rugkrabber 3d ago

This has nothing to do with racism wtf. At the least discrimination. But when discrimination holds true in statistics, is it discrimination or is it systemic? When it’s systemic, it becomes a social problem.

6

u/AdventurousAbility30 3d ago

Well, now we know what category you belong in lol 😂🤣😂

-1

u/Conscious_Smile_6302 3d ago

If this doesn't apply to you then why are you offended?

5

u/zedinbed 3d ago

All men includes men who are not part of the problem smh

-7

u/ChaoCobo 3d ago

You didn’t watch the video.

-5

u/Frequent-District859 3d ago

I saw this question asked so many times, it is the same thing as asking to a black person "Someone said something negative about black people, if doesn't apply to you then why are you offended?"

Why are people offended when someone talk badly about a group they belong to, I wonder, why? Is that really a hard thing to understand?

-4

u/Conscious_Smile_6302 3d ago

It's actually more akin to someone bashing serial killers and then someone getting suspiciously offended. Weird ass nerds love using Black People to try to make a point, probably because they see others as objects and lack empathy.

7

u/zedinbed 3d ago

Suspiciously offended by being called a RAPIST? There literally is no worse insult

11

u/Sam13337 3d ago

While I generally agree with your point, this is a really poor comparison. You only become a serial killer by committing horrible crimes. So why should anyone else feel offended? But you dont get a say in whether you are born as a man or a woman or which skin colour you have.

3

u/Bran-Muffin20 3d ago

people choose to be serial killers, but they don't choose their race or gender. hope that clears things up!

9

u/Frequent-District859 3d ago

Could you explain how using another group to make a point has anything to do with "because they see others as objects and lack empathy" ? I am sure you won't be able to show that in any way, lol. What a crazy take

6

u/[deleted] 3d ago

[deleted]

1

u/Conscious_Smile_6302 3d ago

It doesn't help me at all to know that there's people out there who don't understand nuance and context. That actually sucks and is super unhelpful.

17

u/Frequent-District859 3d ago

Your messages shows everything but someone who cares about nuances and complexity. You are not on this side bud. Summarizing the problem to something extreme (serial killers) is doing exactly that: missing the point and the nuances, and framing the problem as something black and white.

-6

u/BoringCardiologist6 3d ago

The guy in the video literally explains system dynamics and you’re using a bad example. It’s more akin to when comments or jokes are made about white people, white woman, ‘Karen’s etc. I’m a white woman and have never taken offence cause I understand the context

10

u/Frequent-District859 3d ago

I understand what he means, I still know it is contreproductive because this is how human functions. Sure, you don't take offense. Most people do. Do we want to convince most people or a few individuals?

-4

u/XmissXanthropyX 3d ago

So you’re saying you definitely don’t belong to the last group of men

8

u/Frequent-District859 3d ago

I am saying that humans are offended when you talk about a group they belong in a negative way, you have many studies about it. If I want to talk to men about problems, the last thing I would do is to make them feel offended, because I actually care about thing working and being heard. I think it is easy to get.

-3

u/Advanced_Ad4361 3d ago

The difference is you're now placing a marginalized group at the center of conversation as the victimized group. Men aren't marginalized until race, sexuality, etc is included.

To be offended that you're privileged is insane.

8

u/Frequent-District859 3d ago

You’re missing the point of the comparison. It’s not saying men and Black people have the same social position (this was never the topic, I am unsure why you are bringing it). It’s saying people can be offended by a negative generalization about a group they belong to, even when it doesn’t describe them personally.

I took black people as an example, but you can take most humans groups, it works the same.

-5

u/Advanced_Ad4361 3d ago

Are you AI because your logic doesn't logic

You're missing what your point says about you if you don't understand my comment. Do better.

4

u/Frequent-District859 3d ago

You didn't give a point here, you are just repeating your conclusion. If my logic is not logic, prove it, anyone can say that.

0

u/catsarecutiepies 3d ago

All black people are thieves and rapists until no black people are thieves and rapists.

Jeez why would you find that offensive if you aren't a rapist really please explain it to me I genuinely cannot possibly understand how anybody who isn't a rapist could find that offensive its going way over my head here way too complex for me please help me understand with small words and crayons

-4

u/zedinbed 3d ago

You are an idiot who doesn't understand basic logic lol. This type of argument can be used for some heinous shit. Good job supporting bigotry

-22

u/moeterminatorx 3d ago

We are not known for reacting to criticism well. No excuse. This is pretty straight forward as someone who guilty of saying “not all men”

-21

u/LimpWibbler_ 3d ago

Well a sexist joke is fine, as by definition of joke. Same with domestic violence, as long as it is indeed a joke. I think he meant to say sexist comment, or domestic violence comment, but he didn't. He grouped this in with people stalking 18 year olds..... That's not even remotely close to the same.

I like darker humor, I will continue to make sexist jokes. domestic violence joke? Nah, I don't even see how you could make one.

Also just saying, most sexist jokes against women I hear from women. I personally don't use the word bitch to describe women, men all the time, but I know my best friend(female) calls women bitches on the daily.

11

u/LilyCat23 3d ago

Why are sexist jokes ok?

-3

u/Intelligent-Ad-8435 3d ago

Because they are jokes. If there is no intention to put someone down - it's okay.

1

u/LilyCat23 3d ago

What's the joke? Why are they funny to you?

-1

u/Intelligent-Ad-8435 3d ago

I mean, some jokes are funny, some aren't.

1

u/rietstengel 3d ago

But the joke is about putting someone down?

3

u/Intelligent-Ad-8435 3d ago

Not necessarily. The source of all comedy is misery. It's about the meaning, message and approach.

0

u/LimpWibbler_ 3d ago

Because it is a joke... Most jokes put someone in the crosshair.

6

u/Rugkrabber 3d ago

You just don’t notice it’s sexist when it comes from men. You only notice it comes from women. That’s a sign you’re part of the problem.

1

u/LimpWibbler_ 3d ago

Where did I say only? Just mostly.

-1

u/Abject-Ticket-6260 3d ago

Good. Time for men to wake up.
